https://www.wcbi.com/caledonia-vs-aberdeen-football-game-ends-in-all-out-brawl-on-field/ Can't tell much from the 'video tape'. Why do we still use this phrase?

Chin up, the next defensive penalty has a greater chance to be fully enforced.

Now is when Calpreps predictor is solely based on this year's statistics, if that's your thing.

Louisville 35 West Point 13

This is good news. 3 way rotation makes the most sense.

New season statistics are not figured in until after Week 4, so if you project a match-up before then you are comparing last years teams. I liked it better when they factored in home field. It's all neutral site projections now. Still, a fantastic resource.

I'll add Starkville @ West Point. Most heated of the three anyways.

Agree there's not much difficulty in their path, but since this is a message board one can not be too careful.

Location, not opponent.

Many rumblings this is Coach Chambliss's last rodeo. Some added pressure, but excellent motivation as well if true. For this reason I hope it's not Hattiesburg this year if they make it.

There was 1 team that West Point couldn't dictate the game on the ground against and that was Picayune. There were teams that bent but didn't break for the most part, Louisville and Vicksburg are the two I saw in person (didn't go to Starkville), but the only defense that really shut down the run game was Picayune. Remember, West Point's first two scores were long pass plays in the championship game. The 2nd half TD was a ground and pound type of drive but by then the West Point defense was even more tired than the Picayune defense so it couldn't be capitalized on. I will say this however, the best team I saw this year in person was Louisville. It was early in the season, but they sure had it all together at least on that night. Picayune had better backs obviously, but grading the entire team Louisville was more impressive to me.

He mentioned the later start time would allow more fans time to get to the game on a weekday. Also said 4 games/day just isn't doable. Also was asked about Hattiesburg hosting the past 4 out of 5. Said The Rock's configuration (no track - fans closer to the field) is a major plus. Sounds like at least in the near term it will remain there. I caught the interview mid-way through, wish I had heard the whole thing. Would have loved to hear some comment about the crappy streaming issues with NFHS.

They said 2 Thursday and 2 Friday with the late game both starting at 7:30. Saturday will have 3 games with the first one at Noon.

Is that a different crew? I would have DVR'd all the games but My Mississippi isn't available on DTV. Was looking forward to watching this one on NHFS when we get home. Guess that's out now.
-
They sure did. Brought a ton of fans...

Yup, I distinctly remember lining up and shaking hands being a thing watching on TV in many of the past 7 years. My BIL who was sitting several rows behind me and didn't connect with until after I hastily posted my view said it wasn't allowed anymore. He was actually shocked they allowed WP to remain on the field as long as they did waiting to do that. That also makes little sense when the PA takes the time to congratulate the runners up several minutes after game completion. Again my apologies to Maroon Tide fans.
-
Oops, guess it's not allowed anymore. That's a shame. My bad.
-
Kinda trashy we stayed out and only 2 or 3 came over. Only takes a min to line up and shake hands.

Nephew got hurt on that last play. Hope he's alright.

#6 is a special player. Congrats. Y'all earned it.

End 3rd 24-14 Picayune. West Point 2nd and goal.

24-14 Picayune. Unsportsmanlike celebration enforced on KO. Picayune taking over.
