Until they get it together 0-4 is very likely. Like slick said game for game you either got it or you don’t. Hattiesburg doesn’t have it right now and we can run with that until something changes.

Some of you as in “Hattiesburg” fans or other people saying they was down? The only thing I said was our defense would beat Petal by themselves which they nearly did.

I have nothing bad to say about the defense. 7 of petal points came off busted coverage. I felt good about the whole game. Offense is a process. Defense was on the field wayyy to long. OS along with the others will be a tough outing but I’m excited. The offense will get better. Only 3 kids were starters last year and a freshman at QB.

I think it’s funny how y’all didn’t want to give any input on the game yet every time when a HHS loses here come come… go crawling out of a hole crack a joke or two. No one said hey Hattiesburg will win a championship this year.

Where is that Long Beach guy that undoubtedly said Hattiesburg will start 0-5? I want to see how this first loss will go.

Poplarville, I think this is the battle of unknown.

Not that it matter but we had a touchdown called back, simple mistake qb threw pass crossing line of scrimmage. The defense bar none will beat Petal by themselves.

No I didn’t get to make it but I watched the film. Two takes. Defense will be the Tigers bread and butter as we know. Offense is young and has a lot of work. Offensive line played poor and QB’s played poor but all of that can and will get fixed. The non region schedule will have us guns blazing by time region starts. Anyone that poorly judges Hattiesburg offense the first few weeks will regret it. I promise.

Perry Central has 21 freshman and 7 seniors on the team. I don’t think they put up 28 points first game. Also I agree with Columbia winning but I think mendenhall is good enough to keep it a little closer.

Is Poplarville not loaded again this year?

I’d choose scorestream over maxpreps all day. Maxpreps hasn’t been dependable for me the last few years.

I think Louisville will make it back. Not taking away from Poplarville but keep a strong eye on Columbia in the south

Looking at region 3. Outside of Terry you just never know. No matter how you look it could go either way. In region 4 I think Pascagoula, Ocean Springs and Harrison Central are the only teams worth mentioning.

Coach Ladner at Lumberton is a good one. He’s been waiting for that opportunity at Lumberton for a long long time. He’s a hard nosed defensive minded coach. They will be fine especially on defense. On offense they will run the ball like Lumberton always does.

I agree, we’ll see how it plays out, If not earlier I think late in the season we will have this thing rolling. This is the year to beat HHS. In 2022 we should be a nasty bunch.

Nope it isn’t easy at all. The point I was making is we are playing all 6a teams in non region. The non region schedule will tell if Hattiesburg will be close to a 3 win team or not. I like our chances.
