My how school schedule have changed since I was in school. I had six periods. 4 of which were your main subjects of math history english and science. 2 elective subject ranging from P.E. to Home Economics. Started at 8am got out at 3pm. If you played a sport practice started at 330. Were done by 6pm.

You may or may not know, but do any players on WC basketball team play football? I just saw today that the basketball team is undefeated and ranked top 10 in the state.

That would make 6a South consist of Terry West jones Hattiesburg Forest Hill Jim Hill and South Jones in Region 3 and Region 4 would be Hancock George Co Goula PRC Picayune and Long Beach. Pretty much Hattiesburg West Jones Picayune Pascagoula and then the leftovers in 6a South.

Of all the major sports in the NCAA, baseball is the best. You dont hear too much about players in the portal every season and the smaller schools seem to be on a somewhat even playing level of the P4 conferences.

Picayune would dominate 5a south.

Is picayune really on the edge of being a 5a school?

Definitely a tough job and a job where if you happen to have major success, some bigger school is gonna come calling

If you move for academic purposes you should be able to move for athletic purposes.

It would be really hard to get a G5 team ranked in the top 16. I am going to use Southern Miss as the example. Their nonconference schedule consists of Alcorn Auburn La Tech and Tulane next season. If they did happen to win all four of those games they are not going to get any votes to be in the top25. Beating a "brand name" like Auburn does nothing for Southern Miss when Auburn has really not been good the past few years. And beating Tulane would not be a shock at all next season. So if they ran the table in conference play, do you really think the voters are going to look at Southern Miss? absolutely not.

This could almost be a 30 for 30 documentary for ESPN.
