Lacey is the epitome of a modern day old school coach. Which is actually crazy to say because of his age. The kids and fans has taking a huge liking to him.

That special teams comment aged like milk. This game was a mismatch soon as hburg got the ball. #4 for hhs is a legit cheat code true playmaker. WJ will go as far as Lindsay takes them.

As great as Keyes is, young is the kid to keep an eye on.

The enthusiasm comes from it being the first home game far as the actual game the hype is kinda lackluster for obvious reasons but I know og will be up for this game for sure.

I look for hhs to come out and make a statement. First home game of the season.... against a surprisingly 0-2 og team. I'm expecting the defense to set the tone and the offense to pick up were they left off last week. I said earlier this season.... this Dline is the real deal!!!!

Gotta figure this qb situation out, clean up the special teams and reevaluate the rbs... if there was a shining star for hhs last night is there defense. Don't let the final score think Petal had their way because they didnt. Literally everything was self inflicted with hburg. I will also go out on a limb and say Allen is the best defensive lineman in the state right now as a sophomore... which is scary.

If we hold Petal to 17 I definitely like our chances.

I love it. Give these young guys a shot. I think Lacey is 33.

Hopefully Friday alot of things get settled but from a talent stand point I think we're looking great. I feel like we got about 5 kids they will have breakout seasons with 1 kid specifically will turn heads. The biggest question mark is Lacey, nobody really knows what to expect from him. He might be the youngest HC in the whole state. I wanna see how he commands the sidelines along with his interactions with the players and coaches.

The game pretty much became a tradition being played on Saturday night. Literally everybody from surrounding areas came out to watch and enjoy... but i definitely understand usm vs msu will be played earlier that day but I'm also willing to think if you wanted to go to both you could for sure.

HHS getting slept on a lil bit especially from a defensive standpoint.

I'm not saying Boyles doesn't know what he's doing but let's be honest .... what has Boyles done lately???? If Petal doesn't get a playoff berth this season I wouldn't be surprised if Petal people turn on him.... or he finds retirement again.

I doubt very seriously coaches are "recruiting" . WTBS let these kids go wherever they would like to go. There's no need for anyone to be anywhere they don't want to be.... at least within reason.

I think hhs defense will be good not as good as last year but definitely will hold their own. Lacey couldnt have came into a more perfect situation as a first year HC.

Interesting

Gonna be really interesting to see how hhs manage the talent this season. They got about 5 or 6 players that came in over the summer that will make an immediate impact and that's not including the qb. I know Petal had some talent that came in as well. It should be a good one.

Petal got a 10th grader that was 4th or 5th on the depth chart and was told he would be better at another position in this time in moment. Obviously that didnt sit well with him and he transfered... which is funny because he's in the same situation at petal.

Running half ass routes and dropping passes isn't making anyone look bad but yourself. Literally the quickest way to get in a coach doghouse besides not having any accountability. It'll play out however it will. Wouldn't be surprised at all by seeing a 2 man qb system in play.

Let's be real... you don't make that move not knowing you aren't starting.

Didn't realize hhs had that many transfers. I had to look some up just to see how legit they were. The kid from north forest looking good and the qb from Georgia.... well we'll see how that play out but for now I see us winning or losing every game by 1 lol. Right now the defense gotta get beefed up at every level but the season getting interesting day by day with the transfers coming in.

I guess I'm the only person that don't mind transferring within logical reason.

Funny thing about this whole situation is hburg lost every single spring/jamboree game with Vance. If I'm not mistaken lost to south Panola, NWR, Collins, tylertown (a few times) and one of those marion county teams. I didn't know spring was a clear cut indicator on how good you're going to be.
