I enjoyed scheduling a lot. Did for all the teams. It isn't hard. Now some folks are lazy and it's a task for them. But if you're good you usually don't want to schedule a non-competitive game so those kinds of conversations that you propose actually rarely occur.

Scheduling games is not hard to do unless picking up a phone and dialing it or sending an email is too burdensome.

Has the job actually been vacated? I haven't found anything to substantiate that the coach has resigned, been fired, or that the position is open for applicants.

I remember when gas was .33 cents/gallon. I wasn't buying gas for the car, but I recall my father telling me I'd never see gas that cheap again - that was when the OPEC nations embargoed the US for our support of Israel in the Yom Kippur War. Later, when I was in HS I drove a '69 Galaxie 500 with a 390 in it, but gas was still about .55 cents so five dollars worth was enough for the weekend.
