Forest Hill put on a unique show down at Brookhaven a few years back

Mississippi 5A Football coaches, players and fans should thank the citizens of Simpson County every Fall Friday night for refusing the consolidation of Mendenhall & Magee. The road to the 5A Title would take several detours through HWY 49. Oh my, don’t even get me started on the 70’s, 80’s & 90’s. They would have more gold than Fort Knox.

Great story wareagle. I met OldTiger once before and knew from that moment he was a genuine guy. I joined the board when I was young and came in representing my school to the fullest. He was always straightforward and honest with me if we agreed or disagreed. Those conversations sometimes on a weekly basis during the season we had about HS football, I won’t ever forget. The board isn’t like that today but I’ve met some outstanding people through MST statewide and local that tell me I have a calling for this work. I even missed out on an opportunity to work for a high level national recruiting service about 5-7 years ago because I wanted to work in the Delta. There’s not much here in Mississippi that compares to HS football!
