St Patrick uses Ticket Tailor for Baseball games and probably for all Sports and it is a pain
-
Happens in all sports. Top baseball player in the class of 2029 in now in Stone Co. One of the top players in 2028 left Gulfport and is now at Biloxi.
-
Happens some but those kids rely on travel ball to get recruited and high school isn't as big of a priority. You can not really get that in football because 7v7 isn't real football
-
I wonder later on in the year if basketball will get this much attention when it comes to players moving in? There is one school who will have a starting 5 with 4 of the players having played at a different school last yr. I know football is the main topic on this thread but we cant overlook the fact it happens in basketball too. Not sure about soccer baseball or the other sports.

Actually the kid you're referring to lived in Oak Grove the entire time and was recruited to Columbia. When Chip left he moved back and walked to school every day he was so close. Haha. People say alot but don't realize the truth sometimes
-
Yeah happens all the time. Hattiesburg has several starters who went to Oak Grove in 9th grade and actually still live there. Not sure how they are eligible but my buddy that is a coach over there says they aren't really missed.

Watered down districts desperate for 7 classes

MHSAA only gets a share of playoff gates, not regular season. -
Not exactly true. If a WR from say ABC high school first option was Oak Grove but saw they was loaded at the WR position but had a better chance at HHS because they were weaker at WR he would more than likely choose HHS to get more playing time. If I was say a third string player but knew if I went somewhere else and be first string I am for sure asking my parents about the possibility of moving and playing elsewhere.

It's nice to see you back WABO. One of the OG mods LOL. -
Went to Bay a couple of years ago and they didn't take cash or GoFan. Ended up getting in for free because they were having trouble with their credit card reader.
-
The more classes the more playoff games the more money for the MHSAA. Do the playoff math. It's all about the Benjamins.
-
Leake High School will be only gofan this year. No cash will be accepted at the gate. This is for all sports.
-
Well. That certainly took a direction.
-
I appreciate the reply coach, but I don't think it will be as much of a struggle for Petal as it would be first game jitters. With these early games, off season conditioning plays a much bigger factor. While you wait, you need to hydrate. (No, I'm not talking about Redneck Rivera either LOL).
-
NOBODY looks and says "Oh I want to go to HHS" with the other options in the area.
-
To hell yall don’t have people bragging about it. It may not be a coach, but certainly someone who gets first hand knowledge. Let me see if I can get those screenshots sent back to me. I’ll show you. But you may not like the chances of MHSAA seeing them.
-
HHS don't brag about recruiting most players just come over here. We had players transfer over then transfer back, Had a few players this year transferred out to local schools and Texas.
-
I always felt like that in a way. but we will see. EDC DATE
-
Petal lost 25+ players to graduation. SO its going to be a struggle for both teams HHS will have the edge defensively for sure. Lacy era EDC get our lick back.
-
Maybe or maybe not we'll see.

If that’s true, then that explains it. It also means that nothing‘s gonna change. Their next move will be 3 team regions with eight classifications. -
You might want to tone it down a little bit coach. When the right people complain they gonna come for you and they will shut you down again. I don’t know if you was around for that, but it did stop it. I think Vance had already been involved in some shenanigans that involved the good oh boy network stepping in and reeling him back in. So he kept a lid on it at HHS. Lacey is about to get a lesson on the hierarchy. With him not coaching in this state before he probably just thinks that’s the way business is done.

Ive heard after they pay out fees for the officials the MHSAA gets 30% of the gate.

That loser wrecks everything he touches and he’s never been held accountable for the destruction he has left in his wake. I have heard the increased revenue angle brought up before. It’s my belief that any uptick in revenue is more than lost by decreased attendance in the regular season. Do they get a larger share of the gate for playoff games than regular season? -

7 classes was brought uo at annual meeting as I recall on the coast. I think it originated out of a district 5 annual meeting which Bubba was a part of at one time.
