    Grenada

I doubt anyone from Aberdeen, choctaw county , nettleton or noxubee are very concerned. these folks have all made bonafide relocation moves and are gainfully employed type folks.

I’m pretty sure UHigh is where Kiffins son is going to be playing at.
  6. Doesn't have to be Grenada. Any admin from any school district can protest it. Typically it'll be one of Winona's Region opponents.

    Grenada

Naw man, just relocate to a new location. I doubt Grenada can find 2 people capable of organizing anything close to a protest dealing with this matter.
  8. Last time I checked isn't that a violation of the illegal recruiting rules? If you follow a coach to any school, you are ineligible for a calendar year, regardless of a bonafide move or where they reside. If someone decides to protest...
  9. Basically all the kids that are leaving Grenada for Winona transferred to Grenada from Winona when Grenada was on the uptick with Fair. Now, the new DC at Winona is coming from Grenada and getting some kids to follow. The kid going to LSU’s U-Lab high school is just LSU getting him basically “in their program” and keeping him close so other schools can’t get to him as easily. Plus in Louisiana they have “NIL” where he can make some money playing high school ball.

Not going to say that Grenada will not be good or competitive this season, as they may well be, but its amazing how things can change in only a couple years. Two years ago one of the best in the state to now having a little bit of in house adversity before the season even starts

Grenada did not amount to much before Michael Fair took over the program. They won’t amount to much once again now that he is gone. South panola with him at the helm will win at least 1 title in the next 4 years. I do not know what led for him to leave Grenada for South Panola as some had mentioned he may have turned them down before. Or maybe it was them not wanting him at that time. And I saw mention that there may have been a rift between him and the Grenada AD. Also apparently some in SP are happy to see their prior coach leave and are not surprised by what is going on in Grenada.

Can someone in the know speak to what’s going on with that program? Saw where 4 kids are transferring to Winona and they lost one of the top sophomores in the state to a school in Louisiana… all in one week.
  16. Alot of single schools in each county.

  18. Probably won't be much left at those places in ten years then.
  19. I think its a problem for all 1A to 4A schools. Those kids in Byhalia and Tunica moving to DeSoto County for jobs, Louisville is rural but does have jobs just not enough to keep kids from moving to Golden Triangle or Rankin/Madison County areas. You keep going to Hattiesburg to play championships those kids see what's in Hattiesburg area. College's are able to recruit some if these kids away from their home towns thru championship games. Basketball wise its outside of Jackson for them to make a new home.
  20. I wonder if that is the issue in byhalia, rosa fort and louisville as well.
  21. They have went thru coach after coach. They get the program rolling and they leave for better pay i guess.
  22. Yes, graduate high school, go to college get a job in the metro area and establish a home there. Some just move after finding a job in Hattiesburg or Jackson after not going to college. Still others meet that significant other and follow them to the suburbs. You can't blame them until taxes get higher, cost of living goes up and they move back to the country towns of Puckett or Seminary, etc, etc.
  23. Is it a quality of life type issue due to lack of jobs in some areas?
  24. Based on data annually reported to government from cities, towns, and counties. It's kind of a secret census that the government can give grants, loans, etc for infrastructure as they request. More people you have the better.
  25. Look for even larger numbers in the suburbs of Memphis, Tupelo, Oxford, Starkville/Columbus, Meridian, Jackson Metro, Natchez, Hattiesburg/Laurel, and the coast. Smaller numbers in the country side.
  26. Their numbers should be doubled. That's probably why their already 4A.
