It’s not Clarkdale, so Enterprise may have a shot in this one. Stringer by 10 though.

No matter how good a O-line is they cant score points; Gordon may be good but he's not Campbell; and Enterprise has a big defensive line.
-
People are underestimating Enterprise again and that's fine; we return eight starters on offense and defense and we are a veteran senior-laden team with a lot of experience; last year with a much less experienced team and adverse situation it was a tight game until the 4th quarter with Enterprise leading 16-12 going into the 4th and we made some mistakes and Stringer pulled away late; Campbell was Stringer's whole offense basically they will struggle some offensively early.

Returning their offensive line is why I’m pretty big on stringer this year. I coached against the Gordon kid for years in youth league and I know he’s a good young talent.
-
I think it will be a competitive game. Stringer should be improved defensively and returns 4 out of their 5 offensive lineman plus their QB. Loosing Campbell is definitely gonna hurt the first few games because the offense revolved around him, but they still have enough talent to build a high powered offense as the season progresses. Game 1 though i’m not really sure what to expect. I think it will come down to the 4th quarter similar to last season. Stringer wore Enterprise down and pulled away last season. I could see the same happening this season, but ultimately, who wants it more will win the game.
-
Stringer returns most of their team other than Campbell. They have a good sophomore back that will be their guy for the next 3 years. I like Stringer but I do think it’s a close game
-
Auburn, Tulane, JMU will most likely be losses. UCONN, USA, Troy, ULL, OD, LA Tech are 50-50 type games.
-
Enterprise plays Stringer to open the 2026 prep football season next week; I like our chances in this game; I feel we'll have three things going for us: we'll have a much better team this year; we'll be at home and Stringer wont have Campbell who won the game for them last year.
-
Let me see if I can guess who you think USM loses to. Auburn Tulane JMU Uconn
-
It will surprise me if its anything other than scheduling or issues that have occurred at games involving both leagues.

LSU, @ Fla, @ Tex, Aubie, Georgia and @ oklahoma will tell the tale on the season. they could lose any of these games at this point so they must go 6 and 2 thru these games and win all the others to go 8-4. Brutal

There actually is a joint committee that’s been meeting, but a merger is just speculation.
-
Its now officially football season

For Ole Miss, I think just having Trinidad and Kewan guarantees you 8 wins -
I believe thats why some of the schools last week were put on probation. Same thing happened last season with some schools. Just a slap on the wrist telling teams dont do anything again that could possibly get you in more trouble.

Welcome to the world of high school athletics now. Instead of folks getting mad about how things are now, everyone should just accept it.

Not surprised. Money talks

Surprised, not surprised that nothing happened to Tupelo after being caught recruiting the kid from Baldwyn.

There isn’t going to be any merger or joint committee for anything. Some of yall are worse than a woman in a hair salon.

Thanks for the update. But thats old news.

MHSAA does have a 20 mile radius for private schools. MHSAA also has a rule where a player must be enrolled by July 1 and live in the school zone if not private school.

State is capable of a 6-6/7-5 type season provided Kamario stays healthy and we can win some of these 50-50 games and then beat a team or two this year that we lost to last year. Ole Miss, I agree can be a 10-2 playoff team or if they stub their toe things could unravel and they could be 7-5. The coaching change does make a difference although Golding already being there helps immensely. There is a lot of pressure when expectations are so high. And as good as Chambliss was last year, I can see him maybe not matching that this year. Defenses will be more amped up to stop him and it sometimes tough to sustain that kind of success two years in a row. No question that Ole Miss has plenty of talent and the team could very well match last year’s success. But SEC football is quirky and slope can get slippery when things don’t go right. I am not quite as optimistic about USM record wise but I do like Blake Anderson. But they have 75 new players on the squad and I think they are going to lose a few games because of the lack of continuity. If they can hang on to him and create some stability then the future looks bright going forward.

Heard over the last few years there have been around 5 or so starters for Hattiesburg that “moved in” from Oak Grove.
