WH and Petal may not happen. And WJ coaches would be fine with that. If it does happen WJ will be without 4 starters for sure. Anther 3 that may play a little but may not play at all. They will basically be treating it as a scrimmage. WJ qb, starting rb, right guard, starting de, and a lb are all out.

Travel ball culture is creeping into high school sports and is bad for the game. All this “BTA” mess that teams like to do after games has got to stop. Sportsmanship is something that’s lacking these days. From the youth level on up.

Thats pretty much what is happening now. And its going on everywhere. Some school in Louisiana just had their entire season cancelled for fighting and unruly behavior. And the coaches were suspended for a full year if I read it correctly. I believe it was Carroll High School out of Louisiana

I think your correct in saying that the multiplier will likely send PCS, St Patrick, and St Andrew's to 4A. Sacred Heart will likely go 3A/2A. TPCS, and Resurrection will likely go 2A. St Stanislaus and OLA will be 3A/4A pending the double multiplier. What we don't know is if these schools actually apply the multiplier before turning numbers in or if the association applies the multiplier prior to creating the list of schools in each class. From what I can tell based soly on the 2025 numbers at MDE the following splits will be in place plus or minus 5 students: 4A split 470-335 3A split 334-214 OLA non football 2A split 213-149 Pine Grove non football 1A split 148-15 11 non football in the NE, 2 non football in the south or 34 football. Likely Yazoo County to region 3 or 6. Louisville or Noxubee County to region 5. So yes if you were bottom 5 or 10 and you turned in a lower number than 2 years ago you may drop down vs going up if you turned in a higher number and is currently in the top 5 or so. The multiplier could send some 4A schools down to 3A especially if those listed above did not have applied to them 2 years ago.

Myrtle is claiming their number right now is 140. Hamilton is 136. I know both these tallies would have been in 1A two years ago. My deal is, do we have enough 1A teams to move up to 2A to facilitate this? I have the same issue with all the 4A folks who say they are dropping to 3A. I still se no way that Louisville, Rosa Fort, Ripley, Amory and Mooreville can all drop down from 4A to 3A. I think the cutoff numbers will be adjusted. Am I incorrect here?

you claimed tupelo had athletes from all over just transferring basically illegally evidently by speculating. I am not a Tupelo resident but do cover north MS sports and know several coaches in a few sports there at Tupelo high who are some of the finest people I have ever met. The only issue I am aware of this summer was the Baldwyn kid and that was failure to do their do diligence by his family as I understand it. I assume he is back on the Baldwyn team but haven't checked. I'd still like to know how many of the 3*, 4* and 5* football players from tupelo that you think moved into Tupelo. I will say again the answer is zero. They all are born and raised there. I could care less what fades away and no sir I am not stressed. I will say again the level of coaching and leadership from this Tupelo football staff is measurably better than anything in recent memory. These guys are selfless and understand it takes community and booster support and good parents to make a good program. Unlike previous head coaches, Coach Hardin doesn't act like he is the SHOW and that in itself goes a very long way.

All I know is that you are supposed to win with class and lose with class. This obviously paints a different picture, but like you said hopefully he will come to his senses.

I could see West and Petal not even playing. Petal hasn't face any adversity so far this season. Every, bounce, penalty and lightning strike has went in their favor. I don't know how much longer Marcus can scheme around their defensive deficiency though. The situation is coming where the offense will be stymied and it's going to hurt in these games coming up .

I feel the same about Vance... he's a pretty good coach and tbh his time at hhs was done; and that's ok. I doubt Vance was forced out but there was alot of things leading up to his last game at hhs that alot of people don't know about. Far as lacey goes he should use this as an learning experience and get better.

that don't mean nothing that why you gotta play the game and Pontotoc not beating Shannon this year and Shannon got a good defense too and Pontotoc haven't played no real team till 'now Shannon and Pontotoc haven't been very much battle tested just 1 time they will be battle tested tomorrow and will lose again to Shannon

2025 numbers keeps them in class 2A with 156.

looking t all the metrics and giving shannon some home field points I say its pontotoc 54% to 46% shannon. Pontotoc D will be the difference in my opinion.

Just exactly where did you park when it was at Southern Miss? They had golf carts all around the stadium taking fans to the stadium and back to their vehicles two years ago.

Im sure yall would love the 4A game in Hattiesburg. Looking like Poplarville will probably win South so heck yea why not want it there its a bicycle ride for the fans. The parking in Hattiesburg is terrible and they do absolutely NOTHING to help older people get to stadium or back to their cars having to park so far away. If a team in extreme North that might get in its a over 5 hour drive to Hattiesburg. So yes at times having it in central Mississippi is fair and if that rubs some you people wrong in the South....SO BE IT
