  1. Past hour
  2. and they said he was fighting also
  3. You say you're familiar with WP but I'm born and raised with WP. Attending EVERY single game but you go tell me you kno more about my team than I do. Not saying that Morgan didn't help but he didn't do 90% anything. Allen had his scheme that he wanted ran. Gresham used what Allen wanted and added the beast cat to it with Aeris. Morgan added more to it but it was already there. But think what you wanna think. https://youtu.be/dfG-buVDAT0?is=ySwKhPXDlItl3-QX

  5. https://www.djournal.com/sports/high-school/baldwyn-player-dismissed-from-team-following-arrest/article_8848d50b-718e-46cb-81ba-e3bc7f6c140c.html No longer on their roster. 2 counts of aggravated assault with a deadly weapon.
  6. West Point prior to Morgan spent 90% of their time in Power I running Power, Toss, Buck, Gator and Boot Pass with Ashley Kuhn and Chambliss when Dennis Allen was HC. They would get in what they called "Cannon Ball" or "Hammer" and run Power and Jet Sweep and that is about it 51. I am very familiar with West Point dating all the way back to the late 90s when they struggled to win their first game every year versus Columbus. Brett Morgan and Casey Welch took an already good well coached scheme and system and turned it into something much more advanced than what it was. West Point had begun to struggle because teams caught up with them and what they were doing. Morgan and Welch were a huge part of getting West Point back to what they are by being less PREDICTABLE on offense. Now Chambliss deserves the credit for hiring good assistants and letting them do their job and realizing that what they were doing was lagging from 11-15. West Point has plenty of tradition to be proud of but to even hint at the fact that Morgan and Welch weren't a huge part of getting them back on track is idiocrasy. @slicklizard call me out anytime but I am willing to bet I've watched twice as many West Point football games than you will ever see in your lifetime. "You come correct or your card will get pulled". Here ya go. You can check and see how many plays that WP is in the Power I in this and guess how many times they run POWER and TOSS. Teams were catching up. Chambliss knew it. Morgan knew it. They adjusted and got creative and it paid off in a big way!
  7. The one most recent I remember and its because I was listening on the radio coming home was when East central played at Laurel in a playoff game. East Central threw a hail mary on the last play of the game. The officials called pass interference to give them an untimed down at the 10yd line. EC attempted a FG and missed it.
  8. In another thread it's asked where is everyone. This is an example. You come correct or your card will get pulled. Some can't handle it
  9. Must win game for PRC wtbs wouldn't surprise me one bit if WC won. The one athlete PRC has is OK. Watching him against hburg in the playoffs was hard.
  10. What's you thoughts or hopes for Mississippi Universities this season? Sorry if I overlooked any. Ole Miss- I think will have a really good year and in the mix at the end State- Really hoping they improve.Always fun when the big three are competitive USM- really shaky in my opinion and I hate to say that Hoping for 6 wins Jackson State- I expect another solid year Alcorn- Should be solid MVSU- I think they'll get 4-5 wins Delta State- I think they have a bad drop off. Schedule is really tough I see maybe 3 wins Belhaven- I think 6 win season Millsaps- could be a tough year but hope the majors hit 5 wins
  11. by funny i think you mean strange . that was a long time ago. when was the last time ?
  12. Not True, I'm still here. Just not much to boast about anymore. I remember the day Weems retired, I said on here that Meridian was at a crossroads and depending on the route they took would determine their future. Unfortunately, save for one miraculous season with Marcus Boyles, Meridian has gone in the wrong direction. But man those days when Meridian-Oak Grove and Wayne Co.-West Jones were the biggest rivalries in south Miss. that was when this board was on fire. I long for those days but doubt they will ever return. Meridian is on the verge of dropping to 6A.
  13. 2003-2014 this place was hopping.
  14. That must’ve been the real good ol days LOL.
  15. If I’m wrong in this I will accept all the smoke after. WJ wins by 20. Scott Pierson isn’t one to run up the score intentionally and I expect him to take his foot off the gas if west has comfortable lead. that in my opinion will be what keeps the score respectable. But I 110% think this is laurels least talented team in some few years. They graduated a lot of important pieces from last year and don’t have the athletes to fill the gaps. There have been seasons, like the last 3, where they honestly weren’t very good, but thanks to 5A south being what it is Laurel was able to piece together a couple a run to state game and a run to a second south state sandwiched around a 2 win season. This team won’t have the level of talent as any of those.
  16. You've completely lost your mind saying that Morgan developed that offense from scratch and that we were losing to Oxford year in and year out. Yeah Oxford won from 13-15 but WP was dog walking everyone else in 5A. Including Oxford before 2013. Not sure where you're getting this. Before Morgan became OC West Point was 57-10 vs 5A teams including Starkville and Oxford which were the only teams that stopped them from trips to Jackson in 11-15 So the offense was NEVER developed from scratch. There's footage on YouTube with WP running these same plays in 2011 with Aeris Williams when Morgan WAS NOT OC
  17. lol I would get two or three calls a week from Bobby. Back then we did Polls and we would call and compare teams from North and South. We would normally release them on Sundays Several of us got together I know it was me, WABO, Bobby and several more from north Ms I believe Slick was in too. The board was much better then a lot more information
  18. That’s exactly what I was thinking of OldTiger50. Him and WABO stayed busy on this board back in the day.
  19. Every time I see a Baldwin post I think of my friend OldTiger. Bobby was one of a kind a very good friend and he loved his Bearcats
  20. a Baldwyn player got kicked off the team yesterday
  21. I say its close for the first half. Then WJ puts it to them in 2nd half. Funny things happen between the bricks though. Lol
