  1. Past hour
  2. Will East Mississippi or give it to the interim?
  3. With both Holmes CC and East MC CC coming open, gotta wonder if some successful high school coaches will be candidates for those.
  4. Any rumors to HS coaching departures? Voluntarily or other?
  5. In that scenario I would be hesitant to pick Petal. But I also wouldn’t bet against Boyles.
  6. We had plan to run it some. But piersons offense passes to open the run. Coaches saw very quickly that it was not going to be possible against that d line. Especially not with #10 still hobbled with nagging ankle issue.
  7. Today
  8. If petal is at Gulfport round 1 I would not pick petal. Gulfport will be out for absolute blood. Every team that went to petal and lost came out complaining to the high heavens about the officiating. A few that went to petal and won came out complaining about officiating.
  9. I've seen Louisville play and I truly believe that just about the only team in the north that can play with them is Kosciusko. I mean Shannon has been throwing around whoopings lately and they didn't even manage a point against Louisville when they played. In the first Louisville/Kozy game, Louisville jumped ahead early and Kozy had some uncharacteristic penalties that put their offense in bad situations, so that led to a 26-10 lead at halftime. BUT in the 2nd half, it was much more even with the scoring being 33-28. So yeah if Kosciusko can correct some of those penalty issues they had, should they meet a 2nd time, it could be closer. That said, if Louisville does get to State, out of the south, Poplarville could give them fits. Running that double wing could neutralize Coleman and Turner off the edge. Only other squad that maybe can hang with them would be Pass Christian, but they are VERY similar to Kosciusko offensively.
  10. If it plays out like this. Oak Grove vs Ocean Springs Brandon vs St Martin. Meridian vs Diberville and Gulfport vs Petal. Who are you taking to win
  11. In 2022 the regions were released on this day today, November 3rd
  12. Goes without saying….It’ll depend on matchups.
  13. November 19, 2024 regions were released on a Tuesday. We did turn numbers in like 9 days earlier than normal. So no later than the 16th or may next Tuesday a week early.
  14. It has not happened in a few yrs, but what are the chances in 7a south Region 3 sweeps Region 4?
  15. Louisville is toooooooo well coached to get caught off guard. Just better hope they find bit of a answer for Zaiden Jernigan because NOBODY ELSE has J/S
  16. it be surprise if Amory score 20 pts and their defense is solid
  17. yea and don't get caught off guard they might try to do some sneaky stuffs like they did to Itawamba and got caught off guard.
  18. West Point beat Tupelo last season and we all were saying the same thing about them last season about this time. Beware the Brookhaven
  19. Meridian going to do some dangerous in 7A South Playoff, might get to the championship game in Starkville, play against Tupelo.
  20. is Leake good enough to ome out of the North ? There’s not a lot being said about them . It would probably leave me a little confused.because in no way do I think NWR beats Patal . Meridian beating Petal was no fluke . They roughed them up from the start and made the bolio defense Petal has the big weakness that it is.
  21. No need for 7 classes. 6 classes: 6A 24 5A 32 4A 32 3A 48 add 1 for OLA if needed 2A 48 add 1 for New Site if needed 1A Remaining schools plus 2 pending where OLA and New Site fall. 4 regions for football even if top 8 from each region make the playoffs for the money.
  22. Then do they mix Crystal Springs, St Andrew's, McLaurin, and Pisgah into a region to give them a chance at the playoffs as a 3 or 4 seed for 2 years providing they don't blow it by finishing 1-1 against each other and it takes a coin flip to seed for the playoffs.
  23. I wish they would go back to five and consolidate most of these schools
  24. If the mhsaa will do that then that would probably be better.
