  1. Past hour
  2. Minnesota beating Michigan also helped us out. The Minnesota thrashing could age very well throughout the year. That was a good B10 team
  3. Today
  4. Isn’t there also a DB from Vardaman? Maybe he moved to Vardaman as well?
  5. Did not see Meridian@Pearl listed. Don’t know much about Pearl but Meridian has been either feast or famine so far this season. We have not played particularly well there over the years so we will see what happens. Having an open date I think was beneficial for Meridian to kind of reset and get ready for Region play.
  6. yea since than Aberdeen lost their confident, mojo, Aberdeen will finish 4th in their division reason again and will go home 1st rd this time
  7. AP Poll is pretty worthless in this era but I did find it interesting that State only dropped one spot to 17. Mizzou crushing Florida like they did probably helped State from a perception standpoint. Although now State is ranked behind a Mizzou team they just beat a week ago, so that’s kinda silly. But not the only instance of something like that in the polls. LSU is now ahead of Ole Miss in the coaches poll, for example. I’ll start putting stock into any polls in about a month when the CFP polls start rolling out.
  8. I knew they weren't very good when Amory throttled them in the A game.
  9. Yesterday
  10. Two penalties on 3rd and 24 and on a FG attempt lead to 14 points. That’s tough.
  11. I think LSU will just get better as the year goes on offensively. I think that Kiffin knows what he has in Levitt and will put him in the right situations.
  12. Aberdeen might lose to Choctaw County way Aberdeen been very unperformance this season after they started the season out 3-0 and lost their confident
  13. Well I need to qualify myself, LSU could be a winnable game provided we are at full strength. Texas will be very difficult but we have played well against them the last two years. Ole Miss is more of a toss up presently than it was at the beginning of the season. But much can happen over the next 7-8 weeks.
  14. I very agree on that and both Lee County teams, we know what Saltillo going through that rebuilding year with a new coach
  15. pretty sure Simmons made his feelings known to Lane in the face to face department , therefore Lane knew not to follow up........
  16. LSU has potential to be very good… very talented and well coached. The glaring issue is QB play is inconsistent. Levitt is talented enough to lead them to 10-2 and inconsistent enough to lead them to 8-4. Lane should have tried harder to get Simmons to LSU, maybe he did??? I know I’d trust Simmons over Levitt.
  17. I doubt Nettleton or Saltillo win a game this season.
  18. Mount Olive. I think their only shot to get a win is against west Lincoln in the season finale. And what’s said is even if they finish 0-10 they still will make the playoffs
  19. Neither LSU or OM are auto losses for State. There are a decent amount of analytics that actually think State is a little better than Ole Miss right now. I know SP+ has State ranked higher. I think I have a read on what OM is but I’m confused as to exactly how good LSU is. I think we’ll learn more about them this weekend, at Kentucky at night can be a really tough environment.
  20. he attended tupelo thru the 9th grade and then moved to booneville and then returned to tupelo for his senior year.
  21. I'd say if Kamario and Fluff are healthy the egg bowl will be a high scoring affair and until bryan brown and pete improve the ole miss secondary then anything is possible. Stae folks are saying if they lose to lsu but beat oklahoma and lose to texas and then beat vandy, auburn and texas tech and etc. lotta IF"S. on the other hand, what if ole miss loses to mizzou, texas, auburn georgia and oklahoma..........this is turning into an "ifs and buts were candy and nuts" for xmas deal.
  22. So LSU is a probable loss? but ole miss is winnable? I would reverse that. Ole miss is a loss but LSU is a tossup
  23. For State, the health of the team is going to be a critical factor going forward. The Missouri and Bama games have taken a toll on us. If and this is a big IF, we get everyone back (with the exception of the season lost injuries) 80-90% healthy, I like our chances in a number of future games. Obviously, LSU & TX are losses barring some unforeseen upset. But the other 5 games are winnable with several of them being potential toss-up type games. As 83 mentioned, 8-4 would be a good season, 7-5 a bit disappointing.
  24. QB from Booneville was a 3 star before he "moved" to Tupelo.
  25. Wonder if it was their idea to move to Tupelo or they did so because their child was being recruited from another area school. It’s a sad day when a great football coach that develops and cares about his kids the way Finch did/does at Saltillo steps down because another coach/school like Tupelo doesn’t care enough about him and his family than to recruit his players. Now every other child and player at Saltillo is suffering because Tupelo felt the need to hoard talent from other places. What about the born and bred kids that are now standing on the sidelines because someone moved in from Saltillo? Hardin and company may be great football coaches but the way they robbed Saltillo is not commendable. Say what you want but it’s ridiculous and no one says a word about it and folks like you defending it will only make it worse. The tide (or Golden Wave) will recede at some point and you will be right back to mediocrity at Tupelo like you’ve always been.
  26. Crystal Springs 3A South last one and may not win a game. McNair had to kick some off the team last year then he resigned. They hired the track coach not necessarily a football coach.
  27. Nettleton, Saltillo, Yazoo City if nobody doesn't know this Nettleton on a 19 game losing streak, don't know will they get a win somewhere before their season be over with
