It's fitting and satisfying on the day the counter went over 500K on this thread we close the regular season out. I remember thinking if I hit 20k I would have put enough eyes on our situation to maybe wake the WC people up on what the problem was. Less than a year later . We caught fire and it couldn't be stopped. I've already heard Hathornes name being sullied at a couple games already this season. Inside I smiled I think this thread has done its job and will let it get swallowed into the abyss that is beyond the first page. Plan on starting a new one next week for round one.

Agree to disagree OG was the more talented team. May not have played like it in your viewing - but the talent level there is much more diversified among team multiple members. Meridian has Hill.

Basketball, Football, Baseball, Volleyball, has been released. Mize to region 8, Newton takes their place, Wesson takes their place.

Either way 2 regions of 4 allows them to play each other October 1 and October 8 cutting down on open dates. Maybe the 5 team is going by by to some degree. But there has to be at least 2 4 team regions in each class for it to work.

I do not think mize will be in region 6. And I don’t think region 6 has 4 teams. If there is a region that only ends up with 4 teams, I think it will be region 5

Unless they send St Andrew's to Region 3 and Union to Region 4. Or leave Nettleton in Region 1, N Tippah for Region 2, Coahoma to Region 3. But then again who knows

A 4 team region would be fine, but it has to be the right teams in the region. 3A south is gonna be hard to figure out, but 2A south should have been a slam dunk easy deal.

4 team regions gives you 2 open dates to fill in October. 6 team regions gives you no open dates in October in small school ball.

Puckett and Pelahatchie together Lake and Scott Central together Magee and Mendenhall together Mclaurin and Pisgah together Should be simple and common sence of 12 men in a room becomes somewhat scrambled because this is what my people want. Sounds like to me they took it to the coaches before they took it to the board today.

I gave him a scenario of Region 6 3A being Hazlehurst, Crystal Springs, Magee, Mendenhall, McLaurin. That would shift JDC and Tylertown to region 7, Seminary to region 8, Raleigh to Region 5. Pisgah and St Andrew's would go to Region 4. He said that scenario was not discussed. I now interpret the scenario of plug and play. Clarkdale to region 5 with or without 6 teams and someone goes north. Mendenhall to region 6 and someone goes north. That same thought only brings Philadelphia to region 5 and Newton to region 6.

I know there’s not a lot of bright bulbs at the MHSAA. But surely they didnt screw this up this badly. I really hope you got bad info. Surely didn’t leave Mize in region 6 with only 4 teams? That would make absolutely zero sense. That would be the dumbest districting decision that could be made in what should have been an easy draw. If you gave region 6 only 4 teams it should have been enterprise, Newton, bay springs, and Heidelberg. Then you could put Lake with region 5, and Mize with region 8. This is very very simple stuff, or at least it should be simple stuff.

So if region 6 stays with 4 teams, then what in the world will the other regions be? Did Philadelphia not drop to the south? Something don’t make sense with that. Wow. So mize is staying in region 6, and region 6 will just have 4 teams? Mize, Enterprise, Bay Springs, and Heidelberg

Except if your Mit Cole and you've been run blocking for Magee the whole night against OG. Magee would have gotten those 8 yards we needed on the ground. Still have nightmares about that LOL.

My info came from a district meeting discussion. I take it that no current regions will be in 3A South will be reconstructed. I take it as Mendenhall will be added to current Region 6. Mize will be in the region they are in now. 4 team i am guessing .

They are meeting today, so maybe it gets leaked out sometime today

I know of a couple players who are interested in going to EMCC but they are concerned that nobody currently on staff will be retained. They just don't have a positive feeling about it.
