One of these teams is going to have a really big hole to climb out of to reach the playoffs. More so for Petal as they will still have Brandon and Warren Central to play. I will take OG 28-27. But I see positives amongst the negatives. I will go on record saying Petal will be more disappointed Friday night. OG may “look” more talented than most teams they play but they’re probably the most inconsistent and poorest tackling edition of an Oak Grove team that I’ve seen in quite a few years now. Because its Petal I expect OG to come out the locker room very fired up, but the three games i watched online and the two i have seen in person it just seems like OG comes out very lackadaisical or pretty much bored. The team will rally around him to get back on track with what we expected this season. Hopefully he will play more DB in this game to shore up those long plays that have really cost us big time. Without 5 turnovers the last game would have had a different outcome. Don’t think anyone can disagree with that. There’s not a ton of senior leadership this year. Mainly juniors.
