Todd Breland- Great Man and one of the best football guys in this state

I know you read this board .The lines I wrote about you are buried in that war and peace sized manuscript in the other thread. I am going to put them here.

 

I haven’t seen you in a long time. You were a part of Wayne County success at one time. I meant what I said in the title. You have got more titles left in you. You know it deep down. It’s a noble thing you are doing. I would do the same thing but that chapter is going to close one day. When it does you go to a place where the administration wants to win and get some pieces again You were a tough SOB at Laurel and you have more of that in you. I know that chapter is closed in Laurel but there is better out there . There is a lot I don’t know about your situation so I won’t go further than that.

I’m writing this because it was tough to see you in that role the other night.  It was much better when you were the villain.  Just please don’t go to Petal.

I’m a huge Breland fan myself Slick.  I don’t think you’re over any boundaries with that at all.  Also, I’m all in on your epic!  Keep it all coming.

Slick he’s one of the best for sure. And thanks to a stupid move by the ex superintendent he’s not at Wayne County. He would rather hold a grudge and hire a family friend who had no head coaching experience. But like you I have all the admiration in the world for what and why he’s doing what he’s doing now. But it’s like watching Elvis at the end instead of Elvis in his prime. You know it’s still there but he just doesn’t have the horses at SJ to do it. 
let me add that as bad as things had gotten at Wayne County I am very happy with Coach Hankins. He has us headed in the right direction for sure.

I remember reading a post of Coach Breland (I think it might have been his twitter account).  But nonetheless it was back in 2019 when Dodd was hanging it up.  He was very complimentary of Coach Lee and that has always stuck with me.  That tells me that Todd Breland is a man of integrity and I hope he reads your post Slick.  I certainly don’t know what Coach Breland’s future holds, but he deserves to win a championship that’s for sure.
