greenandgoldhawk
I feel like this week will have a lot of close games that could go either way. This should be fun to see how this outcome will turn out. Predicted Winner: ( In Bold) Alcorn Central at Smithville Amite Academy at Enterprise-Lincoln Coldwater at Byers East Rankin at Ethel Humphreys County at McEvans Mantachie at Thrasher Nanih Waiya at French Camp Northside at West Bolivar Noxapater at West Lowndes Okolona at Hamilton Richton at Puckett Ruleville at South Delta Sacred Heart at Salem St. Andrew’s at McAdams Scott Central at Bay Springs Sebastopol at Clarkdale Simmons at O’Bannon Taylorsville at Lawrence County Vardaman at Coffeeville Walnut at Biggersville Wesson at Lumberton West Tallahatchie at Riverside
Kurt Cobain
It's going be tough against Scott Central. I don't believe my bulldogs can keep them Rebels off the score board enough to win. But if Coach Brady have plan Bay Springs will be ok. I think Sebastopol beats Clarkdale

I dont know how the numbers game will play with Sebastopol though. The only reason I think Clarkdale likely pulls it off. I think 1A as a whole have a good number of quality players like the rest of the classifications. However I think only a handful of 1A teams can fully go toe to toe with the good and great quality upper classes for 4 quarters straight without having substitution issues. Usually heat cramps and fatique catches most 1A schools late game when playing the larger schools. But talent wise 2a is whole lot better. One thing I noticed about 1a is no discipline . When it comes to penalties and stuff like that. But the top 1A teams can do well in 2A. And another thing I noticed why majority of the Delta 1A teams play the surrounding subpar 2A teams up there??? I think most of them play the schools due to rivalry history and it draws the crowd/money for the area. A lot of times it aint beneficial besides having the bragging rights and drawing in some money. Lately the demographics have changed for this area. The delta then used to have 2-3 of the 8 regions in class 2A. Most of then Delta 2A schools then are now either 1A from population declines, or have enrollment where can easily be move between 1A-2A or 2A-3A, or joined a new classification because of forced consolidations. I understand that but damn you get in playoff and laid goose egg that ain't worth damn. That's why we looked at Simmons last year at championship game and said they ain't played nobody. greenandgoldhawk
They did. They needed to get humbled a little to wake them back up. Got a little too relaxed, bigheaded thinking of next week’s homecoming, thought they were going to lay down and didnt play as a whole team. They just rotated linemen, played a stall battle using their numbers up front and killed time of possession. I hate they chose this game to lay an egg, but I am just thankful they getting it out the way now instead of it being a costly district game. McEvans will be fine. I hate to be Coffeeville next week, but hopefully McEvans will be respectful and not run up a score too bad. We shall see. s1nglewing
Clarkdale looks pretty sharp on film, but that could be because of the lack od depth of the teams they've been playing so far.
