Still curious about Kosy -West Lauderdale game scorestream had Kosciusko leading at half 14-12 is this correct anyone??????

Yes. Kosciusko returned an INT 75 yards as time expired on the half to take the lead.

Kosciusko came into the game without its first 2 QBs available. So they started a WR/RB at that spot. He got hurt in the 3rd and they had to bring in a Freshman who had never played QB until this year.

Kozy’s only other score was on another Pick 6 in the 1st Quarter.

Here are the highlights.

Kosciusko is very improved over the past few seasons. The WL game was the first time they’ve lost on the field this season.

Had to forfeit the first 2 games because of COVID.

But the WL defense is legit. Kosciusko couldn’t muster much on offense at all (granted they were down a couple of QBs).

Also, Grant is a GREAT RB. And they’ve got some hosses on the OL.

Should be a good game this week.

I’m hearing that West Lauderdale quarterback Parker may be out this week. If so they will have to rely on the freshman quarterback and heavily on the running back Grant!

Heard it pretty straight that QB Parker will be out rest of season with a leg injury and hopefully his recovery goes well hate it for that young man.

That was by far the worst officiated game I have seen in over 30 years!!  I will finish by saying, Louisville didn't deserve to win this game.  They had way too many mental mistakes and penalties!  Penalties that could have been avoided and should be avoided.  Does Louisville have the talent to go to the SC game??  Yes...  Will they go?  If they don't fix the undisciplined style of play we are playing rightnow, they will not!

I will end by saying, I really hope to see WL in the north half later this year.  I'm pretty sure the outcome will be different!

The block below the waist on the DE!!!!  I have never heard of calling that on the defense!!!  NEVER.  THEY CALLED IT 4 OR 5 TIMES!!!  15 Yards each time!!  It doesn't take long to add up!

Isn't that the same for either a Defensive or offensive player as long as they are in the free blocking zone?

New rule change on blocking below the waist.

The new requirement (2-17-2c) is that the block must be an immediate, initial action following the snap. Under the current rule, an offensive lineman can delay and then block below the waist if the ball is still in the zone. In the committee’s ongoing quest to minimize risk in high school football, the change was approved to require the block to be immediate.

“This change makes it easier for game officials to judge the legality of blocks below the waist and minimizes risk of injury for participants,” said Bob Colgate, NFHS director of sports and sports medicine and liaison to the Football Rules Committee. “This change lets game officials observe the block and make a call without having to determine where the ball is and what formation the offense lined up in.”
