Most of the GCS fans on that facebook group are lacking a lot of brain cells. The vast majority of them never gave a crap about that school before this year and likely have still never sat foot on campus.  After this season that school may not have enough players to field a team again.

If the other private schools in the state start throwing out free tuition to lure players over what would happen.  What if Laurel Christian School started up football, played on the Jones Junior College Campus, and recruited who they wanted from West Jones, Laurel, Northeast Jones, and South Jones.  Go get some from Bay Springs, Stringer, Taylorsville, and Collins while they are at it.  Half of West Jones coaching staff is at or a year or two from being able to retire.  So take them all to coach the new team.  Lets see what happens.

Not true TK, schools have a limited area to draw from..... that's why we lost the catholic schools up north along the river several years ago, due to players not living in the radius they were given, in state or out of state..........GCS has kids from as far away as Yazoo City which is a good 60 miles from Greenville

I'm not quite sure what any exact radius parameters are but the private schools along the Mississippi River that left MHSAA for MAIS were schools that had out of state players, after one of the Delta private schools won state in MHSAA with out of state players, if I remember correctly
