yes. we should have given magee the ball on 4th down at the end at OG (classic game) , we would have gone to state.

But it didn't have to come to that.  We got all the way to the 8 yard line and I want to say we had a fresh set of downs to work with.  We then all of a sudden abandon the run and try to pass to TE's who had been in run block support all game.  You're bringing up bad memories Tib, LOL!  That '03 team woulda, coulda, shoulda played South Panola for the State Title that year.

I remember that game when we had Justin Magee, and Chris Stewart passed for a couple of tds.  it was 28-0 as your band pulled up. My brother and sister in law came over from O.S. and arrived with the buses. I felt pretty bad for them. 44-13 game.

As bad as that game sounds, that year was the beginning of O.S. coming out of our funk on the football field. A few years later, we played in the state championship game against South Panola. I believe that us and Picayune had been put into different classifications by then. This year’s game will be another test for us to see if we can sustain our success like the Tide has done.

Trust me… neither one of us were in the same hemisphere as SP. We saved you the embarrassment.

Picayune getting out played tonight.  I hate to say it but we're not as good this year as we have been the last 2 years. Don't get me wrong I think were tired.  We have played some really good competition this year so far. We will be fine in District play. Playing great caliper teams this early in the season will help us going forward.  We can't expect to get 2 touchdowns behind against these really  good teams and expect to come back every game.

@Davidcongrats to your Greyhounds tonight.  We certainly didn’t help ourselves with the turnovers and self inflicted penalties, but y’all played a consistent ballgame and got rewarded with the win.  Hopefully the Tide can get some rest and clean things up because we’ve got to go to Pascagoula in two weeks.

Thanks to you and your fellow Tide fans. You know that we enjoyed a nice long drive home, but also enjoyed a first rate high school football game. Things turned out almost exactly as I had hoped for us to have a shot at winning. A kick in the teeth on the first play, then our kids and coaching staff growing up in front of our eyes. Rarely does anyone brag on a defense that allowed 21 points, but that was what happened. We’ve moved from a run first offense to one that can do several things well, including a QB playing very well. Maybe we continue to improve and make a little noise down the stretch and into the playoffs. Y’all caught us at a bad time for you to commit the turnovers and penalties, and we took advantage. Best of luck going forward. This is a challenging chance for y’all going into district, so keep your head up and do what it takes. We’re pulling for you.

Congratulations to the Greyhounds they were definitely the better team tonight they earned the win. They had a great game plan and executed to near perfection. The fumble on their first possession was really the only blemish on the night that I can recall. The QB played a great game and ran their offense flawlessly and # 7 and # 8 are studs. The 4th down touchdown pass was a great call and put the game on ice. I do wanna say that defensive front and linebackers played a superb game and they are definitely the best we have seen so far this year. They are quick and very athletic. I do think the open date couldn't come at a better time for the Tide. We will regroup and make some adjustments and get ready for the district games. Should be a great game between the Greyhounds and Admirals when they hook up. Maroon Tide will work on eliminating some of the mistakes and go forward. Good luck to the Greyhounds going forward they definitely were the better team tonight.
