Not sure. When I saw the post that game was back on, I searched facebook to see if anyone had posted about it. I saw someone had posted that only players, cheerleaders, and band get 4 tickets. Neither schools have made posts stating exact details. That could just be speculation by the person who posted more than facts. Guess we will see if the schools issue an official statement. I am guessing that Heidelberg presented to the district director and MHSAA a safety plan of action. As to Kemper fans, and their athletes getting tickets will be a question to be asked. If so this is setting what could come down the pipe in the future if covid strikes again etc.

But if we’re gonna make the comparison, I’ll be quick to add my 2 cents: Parents won’t stand for all the covid nonsense again. I’ve heard it already. They pulled kids to private school faster than anyone could say “tuition” last time. (We all remember Greenville Christian’s team during Covid...) That would happen again - but en mass this time. It would be swift and it would HURT public schools. Nobody would wait around to see what madness the public schools districts would come up with like they did with ticket limits, face masks OUTSIDE, and distancing like they did during Covid. Numbers are back on all that from 2020-22 & the data won’t support it for school age kids. It would be disastrous for the MHSAA and public schools. I was attempting to come with something that could happen down road. Hopefully nothing but we never know. I would pay close attention to those district meetings next summer as to what craziness passes to the council.
pancho
covid only affects certain people and doesn't meet the criteria for this current behavior hysteria. just play the games on thursday and before dark. they been doing this in crime filled memphis for 25 years or more and plenty still get shot but not a a sporting event. Bet school choice will get bigger as a result in this state now too. Can't blame parents for not wanting their kids around such.
Rebel Bert
Kemper facebook page says 4 pm kickoff. If you around Jackson metro like myself they are those that are still wearing the mask even in their cars. You have to walk 20 feet them in Walmart. Stupidity is Stupidity if you want to keep breathing in your own carbon dioxide causing health issues. Either way Heidelberg apparently has a reduced fan support plan in place. None of us control what decisions school boards, superintendents, principals will make in the future for specific events. If they don't want my 8 bucks then so be it.

That's living rural. I do wonder if any were still in school, current or former athletes at Bay Springs. Planned or not.

I know 2 for sure were starters on their 2023 football team. Not sure where any of them lived. I’m sure spread out throughout the west side of Jasper County. North of Stringer/Bay Springs zone line and west of Heidelberg/Bay Springs split. I really think Louin, Montrose and around Bay Springs Middle School NW of Town.
