(Regions 5,6 and 8 if I am not mistaken). Hopefully all of the kinks have been worked out by now. Which teams do you see being a surprise team in the region? What north half/south half matchup would you like to see? (I am not sure how the playoff brackets are set up this year.) I still think 1A north is Calhoun City as the favorite but Biggersville, West Tallahatchie and Leflore County will have something to say.. The South I believe is showing a few more teams to compete with Simmons, Nanih Waiya, Noxapater, Lumberton, Stringer, Taylorsville and maybe Sebastopol. The Stringer/Taylorsville matchup is looking interesting this week. Money05 Posted September 29, 2025 Share Posted September 29, 2025 As far as 1A south goes, Stringer vs Taylorsville is definitely a game to watch. It was a very competitive game last year that Stringer actually lead until the 4th quarter when they let it slip away. I’m not sure they have forgotten about that night, and if they have i’m sure Brady will remind them of it a whole lot this week. I look for Stringer to have something to prove Friday night. Another south game to watch would be Sebastopol vs Noxapater. In 1A North the game to watch IMO is Calhoun City vs Hamilton. Hamilton has a 1 point win over Noxapater and a 12 point win over Nanih Waiya this year, so this matchup should give somewhat of an idea of how far above Calhoun City really is in 1A. Calhoun City should win but by how much is the question. Another game to watch is Biggersville vs Baldwyn.
