pancho
whew the IAHS and west lauderdale folks won't agree on 4A with kosciusko mooreville and east webster will be strong in 3A north nobody will beat east union in 2A, they have beaten multiple 3,4,5 and 6A teams by ten runs this season TCP is stout west union and myrtle are potential competitors there i agree, NH is probably the best 5 A north squad saltillo may in fact make pearl but they aren't dominant at all i agree on 7A

It dont matter who comes out the north, they have to play St. Stan. I picked the two in 2A because I liked the name of the towns, let's be honest nobody really cares about 2A baseball. TCP is about to own anybody in 1A. Resurrection will probably meet them at State. 6A north is weak, it don't matter, George county is about to beat the breaks off whoever. Another 7A school that is finding their identity is Ocean Springs. Hell I saw a video on X the other night of a kid hitting the ball that it looked like Chipper Jones was in the video. pancho
good points all. East Union could probably win in any class this year other than 7A and I have seen Kosy play and they are for real. IAHS has about 5 good arms and I kinda think they beat WL in round 3 and see Kosy in the north final.

pancho
IAHS just always has players but they are kinda unpolished when a team can put the screws to them. Their pitchers will walk many if a team can be situational take and force them to throw and throw and they will quiet down once a team won't back down. They play like a basketball team when they get hot and can't miss from 3.

The south for 3A is a little more open within the last week. West Marion caught lightning in a bottle in 3A competition after starting 1-10, going to be pretty interesting. I think that is your 3A South State matchup.

Greyhoundtransplant
One of the main issues most of the higher class schools run into (6A/7A), when you play at the Jackson area schools there better be no doubt, because if it's a close game the umpires will help them all they can. Do they not use officials from other parts of the state in baseball playoffs like they do for football and basketball?
pancho
they might get 1 of the 3 umps from one county over, sometime. anywhere south of starkville this has happened with several teams from the north part of the state. Had a players mom brother calling a game last week and even had the previous HC of a team calling a game. he retired 3 years ago. can't make this stuff up
pancho
Baseball thought currently 7A north- several teams could make Pearl - whoever can get hot on the mound probably 6A north- Saltillo, Grenada or Warren Central 5A north- New Hope 4A north- Iahs, WL, Kosciusko and Newton County 3A north- Mooreville 2A north- East Union 1A north- probably West Union or TCP but Pine Grove could knock one of them off. Myrtle has a free ride to the north final in the other side of the bracket
pancho
update - Newton county is Hot as they has easily disposed of ripley and kosy and now await IAHS or WL(WL has to beat north pontotoc 1 more time) Pine grove looks weak at this point compared to TCP. Myrtle has to beat baldwyn again now after a game 1 stumble all other classes look about the same
Bender20
Taylorsville return every single player off the team that won 1A easy last year so they the 1A favorite. Saw they score 19 last night in they sweep.

Thats because they have a ton of folks sitting in the outfield on the decks that were built and fans purchased to sit out there. Its about like the roost at southern miss or left field lounge at msu.
