I can’t speak for Jack but my twist is this.  He had room and opportunity to grasp a coach like this, so he did.  I’m not sure exactly what roll he will be filling but I expect a huge positive impact on the program.  They know each other well.  I think Coach Luker was tired of being a head coach and just wants to coach and leave the administrative duties to others. Great chemistry between these two.

They definitely know each other very well!  Everyone up and down Highway 43 in Alabama knows Coach Luker and his football history.  Great combo!

I’ve talked with a couple of friends that are retired coaches from that Highway 43 stretch. They are telling me this is a home run hire. I’ll be honest I don’t know Coach Luker but know what he’s done and it’s very impressive.

I know when he coached at Sweetwater(1A)he would play any school in the area whether they were 1A or 5A.  It didn’t matter and their opponent better be ready.  The players from Sweetwater would say that the Friday night games were easy compared to weekly practices!  Can’t wait to see how this combo unfolds!

More wing t with the best thrower we’ve had since I can’t remember when and one of the top wide receivers in the state.
Like Maroontide said, No excuses this season playing in the runt classification even with forcing defenses to defend space the size os an Amazon box.

It's time.

Can you translate what that means 06 because I don’t have a clue? I think I understand the dipping part but the buttermilk part has me scratching my head. I’m pretty sure there are no dairies in Wayne County.

Unless it has something to do with Alabama Buttermilk, your guess is as good as mine but to get the gist of his post I think he is referring to the action of getting a coach on your staff who’s probably better than your current head coach two fold.  That’s where the double dipping part probably comes in.  Heck I’m all for Wayne County triple dipping and quadruple dipping because having great coaches on your staff really bolsters a program and allows you to have a high level of perrenial sustained success.

@slicklizardSince "Papi Buttermilk Club" is a compliment to Wayne County Football, we've got to pool some funds together and get some t-shirts made with that on it.  I've got some ideas in my head about how they should look.

I thought he was referring to WC hiring two coaches from Alabama who are retired drawing State retirement and working at WC lol. But I never know what he means most of the time.

I didn't think about that, but yes that makes sense too.  I don't think it's really that big of a deal though and it's kind of a genius move for Wayne County because they are getting some high caliber coaches.
