I agree. As far as baseball goes, I do think State is top notch in the matter of establishing a successful program that coaches would stick with for a long time. Ostrader would be a great match

Baseball in MS is unmatched. Just because we have "better facilities" doesn't always mean we are always going to be the top job. Southern has a good fan base and good teams so that would make it hard get guys like Ostrander. State will have to dive in the pocket book to land a big hire.

Do we think these conferences will start to break away from the NCAA? I heard that as a rumor a couple of years ago?

I dont ever see them going back to what it was before NIL, but I would like to see everything regulated. Maybe a salary cap, and limit on number to times a player can enter the transfer portal? I would also like to see the money the players make go back to the university club or business that originally paid them. Maybe that would stop players from jumping ship so fast to go make an extra dollar. So I guess sorta like a fine for leaving?

The Florida series will shape up the rest of the season. If we can take the series, I will feel much better about post season. Also, I have had my feelings hurt with MS State baseball in recent years so I do not try to hang on too much

My favorite environments are usually found in the smaller towns. 3a-4a mainly. This is where high school football becomes the focal point on everyone's Friday night.

I don’t want to seem like the type of guy that always expects us to be a top 10 team but honestly, we should be consistently top 25 and postseason is a “guarantee”. MS state baseball should be the one sport that fans can count on, and i don’t feel like that’s been the case under Lemonis
