Because people over there think he is high school Saban. He built it up 20 something years ago and it was a great time. Now the guy that was just ran out of town won it year 1 and had 2 playoff teams after but wasn’t Peirson so it didn’t work. Maybe it works out though. Was always fun when then and WC were both good.

Well he has a winning record. Can’t argue with wins and losses. Must have been that they thought he would be a better fit

I could see someone like that that had ties at west. Jay blacklege is another I’ve heard. Also heard the OC at Oak Grove Sumrall may be in the mix. All three of these guys are alumni that have championship experience with some good coaches if I remember correctly

How so? I’m not in the loop I just have a feeling those other guys may because of local connection and I know Brady is close by at stringer.

Jones County is extremely political. Higdon is a solid candidate for sure that should be considered. There are also two alumni that are coordinators at local 7A schools with championship resumes that may get a call. And then I don’t think you can count out a Mitch Evans or Dan Brady who also could be great options. I think whoever put the 4 names up is jumping the gun.

School board needs to slow there role a little. not just here but in several places. What qualifies 5 good ole boys who get voted in by people with no clue to decide the fate of a program. Im sure if the former super star was interested he would have been the one put up for the job. Just my opinion i have no idea what is happening there other than on this page.

Hearing Blacklege's son Jay that was at Taylorsville is in the mix.

4 hours is a little different than ellisville to columbia. I think it would be hard to not move with her but I also don't know if they would try to work around it.

If the rumor is true, I have alot of respect for the coach that left for standing up for his staff.

I have no idea who the DC is. But the rumor that was floating around was that coach was called in by the super and told to fire the entire staff and start over and he refused to do it and was asked to leave.

Considering the reason the last coach left, it's odd that someone is being promoted for this job don't you think...
