Anyone else surprised at the final score?

According to the website, there are two Whataburgers in Horn Lake. There's one 5 minutes from my house and all of a sudden I'm hungry.

From a distance, I was wondering how long it was going to take for this question to be asked. Initially I thought it would mean more travel in district play, but hadn't considered if that would water down the competition aspect.

Didn't someone last week predict SP and WC in the north half championship?

Guess that's the trade off for adding the extra division.

We moved to East Texas from Batesville in 2006, and I've been back to Batesville only a handful of times, but I do keep up through friends who still live there. The names on the jerseys are the same as they were when we lived there, and they do make the playoffs every year, but since their last state championship they've only made it past the first round one time. That's got to be tough. This year I'm hoping they can get hot at the right time and at least get to the North Half Championship.

Are any of these matchups of state powerhouses?

The district of the school in East Texas where I live has a rule that if the heat index gets above 115 degrees in the sun then they have to practice indoors, fortunately we have an indoor facility. Their third day of practice they walked outside and it was 123. They had a gauge out on the practice field and everything.

Will they postpone scrimmages because of the heat? I doubt it, but thought I'd put it out there.

I enjoy catching the South Panola broadcasts while on the sidelines in East Texas.

So that's what happened. Was a member for years before moving to Texas in 2006, but still kept in touch now and then.
