  1. Heck who knows, Charleston is considered in the Delta when it suits some people. Go Tigers!!!! Charleston that is.
  2. Congrats on an exceptional season. You guys made a lot of sceptics take notice in 3A.
  3. Baldwyn has a nice squad. Nothing for those players to hang their heads over. Hard fought game.
  4. Charleston 36 JZ George 0 5 mins remaining 2nd
  5. If I were a betting man, "Under". It's all guessing until the final tally...LOL.
  6. Oh, I understand your post a bit better now. Who are these 2 or 3 teams you think will still be alive after week 1?
  7. One man's opinion (Mine). If this matchup was to happen, I predict Northside would win. Leflore County is somewhat inconsistent and I feel Northside doesn't make many mistakes and are a bit more solid as a complete team.
  8. 2 or 3 programs still alive after the 1st week? Now that is just disrespectful.....LOL. I predict you are wrong.
  9. If CC is having problems scoring, it may not turn out well for them. Northside is pretty athletic and playing at home. I have had the pleasure to see both teams play and all I can say is be careful with your predictions.
  10. Congrats on your undefeated season. It is never easy.
  11. Reply to bcrandal One man's opinion (Mine) I think Charleston got lost in the shuffle and were over-looked my many because we didn't play sports last year. Charleston has been a powerhouse in 3A for the past decade plus and dropped down to 2A the previous re-classification. 2019 was the year for Northside in North 2A, we didn't figure out how to win. That's the background. This year the Tigers are filled with size, speed & athleticism that will give most of 2A fits. This weeks game was cancelled due to West Tally going virtual on Tuesday, so we will have to wait to see what we have until next week against North Pontotoc. Charleston will be more of a pass first team with (6) receivers 6'1" or taller (1 is 6'5" and 1 is 6'3") and catching everything in practice. The OC was a standout receiver at East Mississippi in 2013 & 2014. He is implementing a similar style of offense to capitalize on our speed athleticism, and because we don't have the bruising RBs we've had in the past. I can see the offense wearing down defenses in 2A. The OL/DL are pretty stout with good size averaging 240-250 lbs. and we seem to always have LBs that takes care of the run and tackles well. Defense is still the staple that is solid year in and out for the Tigers. There are solid teams in North 2A with several dropping from 3A which I expect to make the classification very competitive. Just need to get more experience on the field because these guys haven't played in over a year and we are Sophomore/Junior heavy.
  12. Charleston is a heavy favorite
  13. Charleston would have been a good opponent if our game against West Tally had been canceled earlier.
