I will start it out George County: I was not on the band wagon of letting or QB back but after Friday Night against Biloxi Im convinced that we can use them. My biggest concern will be attitude and morale. Being 2-1 would not put us in the Over performing catergory but were not far from it. Greene County: I will keep it close to home. We played these guys and they are very talented. I would consider them an under performing school. Offensively they are not bad but Deffensively they have a lot of holes in there D. Perry County: I got a buddy that Coaches there and lets just say being 0-3 is an under performing team. The Coach took over a team that finished 3rd in there district last year and made the playoffs my buddy told me they had 17 starters coming back off of last years team that finished 4-6(Which isn't great) but they did play a harder schedule last year. Petal: They started off Hot but lost to a 4A Columbia Team bad. I would say under performing. Oak Grove: Best team in the State!!!!!

It does smell fishy!!!!!!

I think were a better team without them. Now they are both great players but sometimes great players can take away from a team. I just think were playing good right now.

I think you hit the nail on the head with the sideline situation. There defense looks like the Red Sea that opens up and lets Heildelberg and Amite score at will. Offensively they really look very generic with throwing Fade ball after Fade Ball. The only thing that looks half decent is the O-Line. The O-line is the only group that looks half way coached and they do play hard. If they don't beat Wesson this week I'm afraid they will only win 1 game.

What do you mean the same thing that happened last year? Is the principal all talk or will he actually do something about it.
-
If you would have seen what I witnessed first hand. I don't want to get on here and tell everything that I saw because that wouldn't be fair but lets just say a lot of parents in the stands were very upset. I even heard the Principal say he was going to have a hard conversation with the Head Coach after the game.

A complete disaster!!! I went to one of there games and let me tell you it was so bad. They went from Bad to really Bad!!!!!! They will make the playoffs only because they have a very weak West Marion Team and Saint Pat team. Honestly it looks like backyard football all they do is throw the Fade 20-25 times a game. They can't run the ball or stop the run to save there lives.

After the Stone County Jamboree Im positive that Perry Central will be in the mix.

I'm from that area of Perry, Greene and George County. I really think this guy is in over his head. I heard from several Community members that he wasn't even the 1st, 2nd or 3rd choice. His only experience is a jr. high coach at Madison Central and I believe he helped out on Friday Nights. The one thing he has going for him is he is a local legend(only in high school I don't think he ever sniffed the field in College if so very little). I've driven by and have seen them out there practicing late which I can say thats more than the last guy they had there. He never stayed past 5pm practicing.

I talked to former star player Brandon Sumrall at the Circle K in McClain on Tuesday afternoon about PC football. He told me Nick Griffin was putting together a jam up staff. So far he has hired Jimmy Risen for his OC and Derek Jenkins as his DC. These two guys have a wealth of experience. He also said that he was going to be a paraprofessional and that Nick was moving some middle school coach up to do OL. Overall Sumrall was very optimistic about this staff.
-
Well it was confirmed to me this morning that Nick Griffin is the new HC at PC. I believe he is coming from Madison Central where he was there OC.

The word in Perry County is the Job has been offered to Nick Griffin. Not sure if has accepted the job are not. I can only imagine what the atmosphere is like at Perry Central with them not having a Head ball coach and its almost May.

Just confirmed that it was Gabe Hood that the School Board voted down.
-
I heard from a very reliable source that the school board voted 4-1 against a potential Head Coach at Tuesday Nights board meeting. I'm not sure who they brought before the board but that place has got to be in a mess. Most schools are starting spring ball in a couple of weeks. From what I hear they don't have one football coach on staff that's coming back next year.
-
Do we have a list of Coaches that are interviewing yet? Everyone keeps saying Mitch Evans, Dan Brady, Chip Bilderback, and Bud Blackledge. My point is have we heard of any solid interviews that are taking place yet. Spring is a month away.
-
Wow what a big hire for Pass if they got Stockstill. Not sure if it's true but if so, they are fixing to get them a gold ball.
-
Wow sounds like a dumpster fire to me. This seems to be the norm now. We are talking about high school football. These guys probably make 50K a year and they are asking coaches to fire them for no reason. Who do they think they can get into Perry Central in the first place? Man its a crazy world we live in now a days.
-
Why did the last Coach leave and who is the DC?
-
Who is the DC that has rumored to get it?
-
Where is Nick Griffin at and what qualifies him for a head coach position. I know he was a great player but I never heard of him on the Coaching spectrum.
-
Who is the DC? Looking at maxpreps the Defensive numbers were not anything great. Who were some names that put in for the job?
-
Was wondering who will be next in line for Head Coach? I live in George County and work in Hattiesburg so I drive by the high school everyday. I heard that its a crap job and no one wants it. Several years ago they were good just haven't heard anything lately from them.
-
I notice on the topic of Coaches changes and there are still 17 open positions. We are in March and Spring training is right around the corner. I'm blown away with how there is no urgency to fill these positions. Honestly it will probably be the April board meeting before they can fill these positions. Hats off to the schools who saw the importance of having a coach in place quickly. When I played ball at George County we were busting our butt from January till Spring Training. I feel like these schools are hurting the players by waiting. This is just my opinion.

Was wondering what was going on in Rebel country. I know our qb is a legitimate player and he was young this year.

I'm hearing top 3 for the job is Jeff Stockstill, Jacob Aycock, and Todd Lowery. I believe Stockstill is the best choice in my opinion.
