How have practices been going? Who are the top players on the team this year?

Good interview. I didn’t realize the jug heads were gone and that tailgating was banned in the past. What happened there?

Ha the tailgating was a lot of fun. Seeing that smoke fog go over the field was awesome! Your wife is in my prayers.

Gotcha. I agree that it would be a huge mistake. I doubt Lampley will make that change. Probably one of the most recognizable logos in the state. I know it has Auburn ties but WC also makes it look really good. I will say the new turf doesn’t look as good without the checkered end zones but i guess it’s time for a change. When I’m in town visiting family it still doesn’t seem right having the home side on the old 84 side of the field. Are there any other projects with the stadium you know of?

Is the school going away from the Interlocking WC? Noticing that with more of the social media and the new turf.

Good to hear moral is high. Do we know what type of offense and Defense will be ran? I’ve seen pictures of the new turf. Personally not a big fan. It looks way too busy. I guess if the players like it that’s fine by me.

Congrats to Tracy! He was a great guy when we were in high school together and an amazing athlete. He will be a great Head Coach if given the time. I feel like it’s been so long since Wayne County has been competitive in football that he will be given time. Which is really weird to say. This will be a fresh restart.

This is wild. Thanks for the updates. I’ve been out of the state for a while now and it’s been nice being able to get updates through this thread. FYI Waynesboro/Wayne County isn’t the only town or school district having its problems. I live in a fairly nice area and it seems they can’t get their act together either sometimes. I say that just to say keep your heads up. Hopefully the school board makes the right hire and the Town of Waynesboro figures out the police chief too. Wayne county is a great place with great people.

Was this a private meeting? Wareaglefan did you go? How did the meeting seem to go? Hope they get this right.

After looking it up i didn’t realize Hall was just there 1 year. Hopefully they can find lighting in a bottle again or atleast maybe use the same resources they used in the past to make this hire. Going back to your roots may not be a bad idea.

Who made the Bobby Hall and Marcus Boyles hires? Were those considered home run hires when they were made?

Baughman was 6-15 Henry was 12-22 I hope they hire the best coach for the job. Talent is there. Curious to see who the hire. Need to get Coach Turner and Sellers back out of retirement. *

Sad to see where WC has fallen. This time of year i would have been looking forward to grab the latest Prepsports news paper to see what they had to say about this matchup. Miss those days.

I totally agree. I wonder if the split of Waynesboro Middle school has had any effect? An emphasis needs to be put on the younger generation.

Shocked to see where WC has come. Maybe one day things will change. It is crazy how programs like Louisville and West Point keep producing every year. These schools seem to be similar in size to WC. I wonder what WC needs to do to atleast get back to being respectable and having a playoff team ever few years?
