A lot this season will depend on whether or not Ole Miss went shopping for defensive players. The offense probably won't be as prolific so the D will have to step it up. I wasn't too impressed with Altmyer (if he ends up as the starting QB).

We will indeed

Raiders 10 - what is your coach's all-time record in the playoffs? What is Shannon's playoff record the last eleven years? Answer those questions and you'll see why there is abundant skepticism about your Red Raiders.

EHS defeated three teams that had winning records in 2021, two of which were only slightly better than average - Morton (7-5), Clarkdale (7-4), and Magee (8-3) ... and Clarkdale's record was a result of some very fortuitous scheduling. EHS proved themselves a 2nd tier team. 1st Tier last season were Jefferson Davis County, Raleigh, Tylertown, Amory & North Panola.

You're talking about Shannon again

At any time the score differential is 35 or more the clock runs after hallftime

Two additional games have been scheduled: 8/26 Hillcrest Christian @ Deer Creek 9/30 Hillcrest Christian @ Wilkinson County Christian

Shannon still gonna Shannon

That, I think, would be a smaller enrollment school issue. Larger schools have 9th & JV teams to get developing players reps
-
When I was coaching we just wanted to get a mismatch game over with asap so as to avoid potential for injuries (for both teams)
-
John Curtis might be a pretty good game

NWR is a top matchup opponent for MC? The same could be said of Seminary. They're below average for 3A - what would make anyone think they'd be a good game for Oak Grove?

Gotta have the Jimmies and Joes. One off-season from 0-fer to top ten in defense IN THE STATE is an extremely tall order no matter who is the coach.

Expecting miracles at N. Forrest and AHS

Rebul will not field a team in 2022.

punctuation says it all

overween much?

Most state associations do. Usually if the lead is 35+ after halftime it's a running clock.
-
Never even got that far. It was in discussion, though.

Madison St Joseph is MAIS

Shannon - one and done every year.

You are correct. I made an error in my enrollment search and saw the #s for Lamar Christian. Hope Lamar reps our state well

SECIS Classic Games Starkville Academy vs Trinity Collegiate (SC) Trinty went 11-2 last season in SCISA's largest classification. They lost to Hammond twice - the second time in the SCISA 4A State Championship game. Last -season (according to MaxPreps) they had 37 players on roster (Starkville had 45). The school has 404 students in grades 7-12. In 2021 TC was 11-2, Starkville was 7-5 - Calpreps project-a-matchup has 2021 teams: Trinity 31 Starkville 28 Lamar School vs John Millage Academy (GA) John Millage went 12-0 winning the GIAA 3A State Championship. Last season (Maxpreps again) they had 47 players (Lamar 34) & the school has a PK-12 enrollment of 510... roughly double that of Lamar's. In 2021 JMA was 12-0, Lamar was 3-8 - sure looks like a mismatch, but we'll see. - Calpreps says JMA 42 Lamar 6

Taylorsville's mascot in 1928 was the Lynx.
