This stretch of games coming up for Lebby remind of 2013 CDM. If you all remember he was on shaky ground at 4-6 going into the Arkansas and Ole Miss games. The much maligned Tyler Russell helped lead us to an overtime win on road against the Razorbacks and then we had the OT win over OM. Which led to the blow out of Rice in the Liberty Bowl. Which led into the 2014 season. These four games are really crucial for Lebby. He really needs to be 3-1 with a competitive showing in the Egg Bowl to create momentum going into 2027 (plus a bowl game with extra practices). Anything less will be a disappointment though 6-6 given the injuries would not be terrible. Any thoughts from you guys on this perspective?

State really needs the light bulb to come on for Tristan Reed in the next month or so. He’s very talented but very raw. But his ceiling is much higher than Okafor who has been underwhelming.

Especially in classes 2-4. In your larger classes, often times a 4 seed can beat a 1 seed. You are correct in mostly you see blow outs in the first round games like last night.

Enterprise Clarke and clarkdale both struggle against teams with athletes. If you they cant play ball control against those type of teams then that’s what tends to happen. I knew PC could score on them but I thought enterprise would be able to keep the sticks moving and eat up clock, but that wasn’t the case.

We were not ready but when you get beat 37 to nothing the better team won.

I wouldn’t be so sure about that Per Central beat Enterprise worse than Mize and East Marion beat Clarkdale worst than both of us.

these results just show how ridiculous these classes are where teams with 1 and 2 wins all year make the playoffs.
