David Posted October 4, 2022 Share Posted October 4, 2022 Normally, I’d think that d’Iberville would have the experienced players and veteran coaching that would allow them to turn the corner and win enough games to save their season, but this team is so young, with rookie players at almost every position that I don’t know. Add in a rookie head coach, who while a great guy and a good assistant, doesn’t have the experience to improve the team mid season. Losing to Biloxi hurts, as they will probably be fighting for the last playoff spot behind Ocean Springs, Gulfport, and one other. Matt Posted October 7, 2022 Share Posted October 7, 2022 All teams will have their up and down years, Warriors have way more ups than downs for sure, but the heart of this program was on full display last night in Pascagoula! Congrats to this team for not giving up on themselves. Sitting at a 1-5 record overall and 0-2 in district, they were down 27-7 last night in the first half. Warriors could've easily hung it up with the circumstances they were in but they fought back and won a thrilling game in double overtime. Granted it was against a struggling Goula team but proud to see that these kids are still gonna come out and play their hearts out for themselves and their coaches. There were shenanigans on display last night I've never witnessed in War Memorial Stadium.
