Vott
Heard Richard Cross say on his head to head radio show that Snoop Connor is 4th on the depth chart. Does anyone no if he was banged up and may have missed practice or if the two guys behind Ealy just outperformed Snoop? Connor has been very good when he is in there. I mean he scorched Bama defense last season to the point where he was the main back instead of Ealy in that game
rebmus
I don't read into Snoop being "4th string" right now. Ealy is the obvious 1. For the first few games, 2-4 will likely get around the same amount of playing time until (or IF?) one of those three separates themselves. I also expect multiple 2 back plays, including Plumlee in the backfield... and also Ealy lining up in the slot some. 2-4 will get their chances to shine. Snoop seemed to do decent in 4th quarters last year with fresh legs against winded defenses. I wouldn't mind him being used like that again this year... hopefully with much success and used more often.
