One man's opinion (Mine)

I think Charleston got lost in the shuffle and were over-looked my many because we didn't play sports last year. Charleston has been a powerhouse in 3A for the past decade plus and dropped down to 2A the previous re-classification. 2019 was the year for Northside in North 2A, we didn't figure out how to win. That's the background. This year the Tigers are filled with size, speed & athleticism that will give most of 2A fits. This weeks game was cancelled due to West Tally going virtual on Tuesday, so we will have to wait to see what we have until next week against North Pontotoc. Charleston will be more of a pass first team with (6) receivers 6'1" or taller (1 is 6'5" and 1 is 6'3") and catching everything in practice. The OC was a standout receiver at East Mississippi in 2013 & 2014. He is implementing a similar style of offense to capitalize on our speed athleticism, and because we don't have the bruising RBs we've had in the past. I can see the offense wearing down defenses in 2A. The OL/DL are pretty stout with good size averaging 240-250 lbs. and we seem to always have LBs that takes care of the run and tackles well. Defense is still the staple that is solid year in and out for the Tigers.

There are solid teams in North 2A with several dropping from 3A which I expect to make the classification very competitive. Just need to get more experience on the field because these guys haven't played in over a year and we are Sophomore/Junior heavy.

Scott central was probably the 2nd best team in he state last season, and they were sophomore heavy. They should be stout the next couple years

I guess that means Enterprise was the best team in the state last year because we beat Scott Central. I was at the game; SC was good but not better than Enterprise.
