greenandgoldhawk
The boys basketball coach hit some high notes throughout the post game interviews he had with several different sports journalists and news reporters after their basketball championship that goes well for kids in all sports. Finding ways to raise, mold, develop the athletes, and keeping the athletes there. Even though this group of kids had been split up over the years for various reasons, a good core of those guys had remain together throughout the years. With that core being brought up together with good community support and coaching leadership, this group of seniors has racked up a good amount of accomplishments over the years. won their Delta league Pee Wee football league for their age group during their time, finished as one of the top teams in the state Pee-Wee league tournament for that year, won their middle school divisional title in football undefeated, won their middle school basketball division title undefeated, moved up to high school helping the upper classmen with significant playing time as freshmen and advancing to the state semifinals in basketball with the former coach, made their way to the semifinals in basketball with the current coach in his first season as varsity coach their sophomore year starting and playing with the remaining few senior class left, quarterfinal playoff run in football and basketball junior season State runner-up in football this year. State champions for basketball this year even though unranked with their experience and even though by some to considered have had an underdog playoff run. There are many kids/schools that wish they have had opportunities and accomplishments like that. This is just an example of how one sport helps the other sport and players staying committed to the craft of those sports to build their skills over the years. Secondly, it was a blessing for those coaches along the way to have the full support of the parents and community. Support is necessary for helping the progress and success of the future athletes.
