This week will be full of fun and well awaiting antipated matchups. Which game(s) will be interesting for the outcome?

North:

Simmons at Biggersville

Simmons has always been a thorn for Biggersville reaching the title game. Simmons is coming off a dominant performance against Smithville at home and will now travel to Biggersville. This may be Biggersville best season yet so far. This year Simmons been slightly rebuilding but still very well coached and well talented. As the Blue Devils will say, they just reload each and every year. Biggersville has been one of the hottest teams in 1A this year. They have plenty of big, mobile athletes to spread all over the field. They have an impressive dominant win over 2A Eupora as a good test. They have been pretty much smashing all of their opponents, including the Delta region’s #4 team West Tallahatchie last week. Biggersville last title appearance against Lumberton, which also came when Simmons and the Delta teams were placed in the South half a few years back. Biggersville will have some home field advantage being at home versus Simmons. Biggersville hasn’t allowed over 16 points from an opponent this season allowing and average of 6.3 points a game. Besides Simmon 26-14 loss to McEvans, Simmons haven’t given up over 14 points a in a contest only allowing an average of 4.1 points a game . Will Simmons be that thorn once again or will Biggersville finally get that elusive victory? Who will win?

South Delta at McEvans

This is a rematch from a month ago 32-12 McEvans victory. The saying is it is hard to beat a good team twice and convincingly twice. Both teams playing a stronger non-district schedule. Because of playoff rules, once again South Delta will travel to up to Shaw to try and pull the upset instead of hosting McEvans like the previous rules would have allowed. South Delta have had good non-district games to prepare themselves for the playoffs. South Delta is coming off a 24-6 road win over Okolona. South Delta has allowed an average of 11.8 points a game. They have an early season victory over Humphreys County, which is McEvans only loss of the season. McEvans has been known as a good team, but took notice on the radar to others with wins over Northside and Simmons. Other than Northside high scoring contest, McEvans haven’t allowed over 14 points a game with allowing an average of 8.3 points a game. This is also McEvans best season record wise, even when the school was formerly known as Shaw. Will South Delta pull it off on the road again or will McEvans be too much for South Delta to handle again?

Whats at stake? McEvans has a chance to host the north half and have home field with a win. A South Delta upset will guarantee the Simmons-Biggersville winner home field for the north half championship.

South: (South half posters feel free to add to the story line)

Taylorsville at Hamilton

This game might be the first really strong test for Hamilton. Hamilton have had good tests against Okolona, French Camp, Vardaman, West Lowndes, and Sebastopol. Hamilton have founds ways to keep fighting and prevail in those contests. This year is Hamilton’s best season in a long time. Maybe ever. Hamilton has been an early surprise and became hot very quickly with a very explosive do it all running back. Taylorsville has had a rougher start challenging the upper class but have dominated region play outside of Bay Springs. Hamilton has been averaging giving up 18.5 points a game while Taylorsville been averaging giving up 20.75, which were mostly to larger classifications and Bay Springs. The Tartars’ younger guys are more experienced than last year. Will the harder non-district schedule for Taylorsville continue to help the younger players shine now or will Hamilton prove that they are for real with the win over Taylorsville?

West Lowndes at Bay Springs

The defending champs are making a very strong statement to repeat as champions before returning to 2A next season. They have played a tough non-district schedule with the only loss being an overall close contest loss to 3A favorites Raleigh without their head coach. Bay Spring is bringing size, physicality, a tough defense, and a monster three headed rushing attack to lead a balanced offense against West Lowndes. Bay Springs has overall been very stingy on defense allowing 8.8 points a game. Bay Springs is coming off a shutoff dominant performance over Sebastopol last week. West Lowndes is coming off a playoff win last week over Lumberton and looking to pull off the biggest upset of the year. West Lowndes has been known to match teams with size. West Lowndes has allowed 22.6 points a game. Will West Lowndes find it in them to pull the upset of the year or will Bay Springs keep on rolling?

Whats at stake? A win for Bay Springs will allow the south half to come through Bay Spring. An upset win by West Lowndes will allow the Taylorsville-Hamilton winner to host the South Half championship

I'm say this it depends what West Lowndes bring to the table next week. I think they can match up up well with Bay Springs for time to time.

But like I told a couple people from Sebastopol. You must have a good game scheme against Bay Springs in order to be successful. I felt Sebastopol coaching staff had one the thing was trying executed it for four quarters.

Im not over looking West Lowndes. I think they may have some revenge from last year defeat at South State.

Prediction:

North:

Simmons at Biggersville- This one is really tough to predict. My gut feeling is telling me Biggersville may take it with home field advantage and the momentum from everybody around them in a very close game. However, Im rooting hard for the Delta team Simmons to hit them hard and take all that momentum away.  Easily to me the 1A Game of the week even though all of these are important.

South Delta at McEvans- Its hard to beat a good competitive team twice and in a dominating performance.

South:

Taylorsville at Hamilton- May be close. I think Hamilton got something to prove. Just not enough to stop Taylorsville enough to win.

West Lowndes at Bay Springs

I don't think Hamilton and Taylorsville game won't be close. I'm not saying Hamilton can't play some good ball. Also I know a win is a win but, the French Camp they was down and came back to win it. The West Lowndes game they had to scratching claw to win that game. The Vardaman game was a scratching claw game.

Even though the Sebastopol game Hamilton had come from behind with some questionable call against Sebastopol.

Also the game with RESURRECTION ACADEMY . Was a close one even the score don't say it. But Resurrection was in the red zone 2 or 3 and didn't make plays to put it in .

I'm go with Taylorsville by 3 tds or more.

Your posts are very hard to follow. The first sentence alone makes zero sense... I think it'll be a good game, I wouldn't be surprised if Taylorsville pulls ahead late by a score or two.

No you said "I do not think taylorsville vs Hamilton will not be close" which is a horrible sentence.

By using terrible grammar, you said in the first sentence it will be close, then continue to say it won't.

You forgot I'm 45 years old man. You can did it again 😂 all you want to. I just keep it pushing

I'm 42, I don't see your point.

All I'm saying is that this is a forum, meaning everything is conveyed through typing... There is no inflection, no understand implications, just text. As such, being able to represent what you're trying to say in at least semi-decent English is pretty much a necessity. We all have grammar gaffs and use colloquial terms, but in order for a forum to work and the conversations to move forward in a worthwhile manner, at least somewhat well-written posts are needed.
