Still no announcement, what gives in Madison County?

Was there ever a link shared for this hiring? I know everyone talked about the hire. I just don't remember seeing anything in the news.

South Panola has always been one of the smallest 6a schools I think they were pretty competive over last decade lol

It’ll be his first year as a head coach and a play caller, he didn’t call the plays at Oak Grove.

Not as hot a job as it was a few years ago, but still high profile job I think. Who are the top candidates?

Most 6a jobs in Metro area now pay 95-132k you can go and look on “open the books” and see what the each schools pays, most of these jobs have some type administration tied with it. It’s all public information, the crazy thing is looking at what some of these superintendents make.

Perkins is projected as safety next level.

Curious what players have they lost to MRA?

Thought the Brandon Madison state championship game was one of the best I’ve seen in awhile,

I think in a lot of schools these days admins are just happy to have yes men and don’t really care about sports until they get push back from community.

I agree Mike Scott had some great teams back in the day at Shannon.

Ones that come to mind: Gulfport-lots of old tradition there, don’t know the reasons for the fall off over the years Tupelo- largest school in the state, don’t know reasons there either, they were really good back in the days of Booty Sloan just 2 off top of my head that I would think would have the resources to win

What are the schools in the state that you feel are underachieving on the field? Reasons…

NWR was a senior heavy team last year just saying,

Several really good 4a coaches that do more with less: Henry Johnson Clarksdale, Michael Kelly Calendonia, Brock Clay West Lauderdale, Jay Beech Poplarville, Bobby Bass Newton County, Monroe Allen Mendenhall

Schoolar has done a great job building Neshoba, Vance has done the same at Hattiesburg imo

Anyone have any thoughts who the top coaches are in each classification? Who has taken over terrible programs before they got there and are now winning?
