We are very happy that the admin here at EC finally gave Coach Huff the opportunity. I believe he will do great. Now, if he's able to finish off his staff the way I hope he can, East Central will be back to competing at the highest level. Looking at the numbers of realignment, I believe we can make deep runs in the playoffs, and maybe have another magical year like 2018.

I was told Brian Ford from Loyd Star also interviewed, and was very impressive.

The kids were told that it would be next week before their Spring started. Interviews are over, and I think there will be a decision soon. Possibly tomorrow or Wednesday. Everyone still believes it is Huff’s.

Guess This means he’s not getting the EC job. From that answer, thank God!

Who knows!! I think all of us just assumed it would be one of the Huff guys on staff. I am not sure if this shuts the door on that, but I guess they're looking around. Nobody seems to know what direction the admin wants to go in.

You have no idea about the problems at East Central. You are making great assumptions. There is a lot more going on than you know and most of it has nothing to do with disgruntled parents.

Just saying that what he did here, and what he has done so far in Vancleave, would not garner a whole lot of excitement.

From what I understand about the situation, there is no way Collins will resign. He seems to be dug-in. I really hate it for the kids here. There was such a great foundation that was left after Smith that seems to be eroding away. If it were to open, I don't think Fant would even get an interview. People around here were kind of shocked when he got that job. Fant was the defensive line coach, and had never called a game on either side of the ball to the best of my knowledge.

From what I have heard, I think you may have the last name right, but his brother is next in line.

I keep hearing lots of rumblings coming out of Hurley about Eric Collins. Parents and players very upset with the way he has handled the program since Smith left. Any other EC fans out there that might shed some light?
