The longer they wait to make a decision makes me believe there is possibly another candidate out there that may be getting the job. May not be the tville assistant or Nowell.

Hard to beat the money when you can double dip . Would take a significant pay cut to come back and coach in public school again

What's the best team that you have seen in person or on tv for each classification. I'll start . Will just do 1-6a. Not too far from there is two of the best hamburger places in Mississippi. The hamburger house in Mize and Gitano Grocery (about five miles outside of town). lol. Also the mexican place in Taylorsville is not bad. Ate there once.

I am sure there are pockets of places like that throughout the state , but as a whole there has been a definite decrease in my opinion.

I would think they would be a large 5a if - when they consolidate.

You know I was talking with someone the other day about high school football in general. I can only speak for the state of Mississippi when I say this. The game has changed so much over the last 25 - 30 years. While players are bigger , faster , stronger , and teams are doing much more offensively and defensively the overall pride in programs has dwindled. Smart phones , social media, ticket prices ect.... has taken from the game to a certain extent. People have more to do now, and the ability to stream games and access to get updated scores instantly has taken some of the pride out of the communities to follow their local team. It used to be that the whole town rallied around the football program. It was must see entertainment every Friday night. That is not the case anymore. You don't see the great crowds on a week to week basis. What is your opinion?

Sad to see how it has declined some. At one point was probably the best school in the county.

If it does happen it could be a really good football job. That being said , it would be a really good job if given the right tools and resources.

I have seen quite a few of the stadiums across mississippi . My top five as far as age tradition ect.... would be Meridian Picayune Laurel Philadelphia Gulfport Newer stadiums Columbia Brandon Oak Grove Tupelo (somewhat old though) Petal

been a lot of tax payer money already spent on consolidation . Anxious to see what the final bill will be.

Towns go as the schools go in general. Hopefully the school can right itself. There has been a drastic change there in the last four years or so.

I here different opinions. Here it is dead in the water, but also here that they will consolidate and the High school be at Magee and the Jr High will be at Mendenhall. Mage and Mendenhall will keep there k-6 where they are currently at.

Hopefully he can get things going in a positive direction. That is a tradition rich school that makes high school football in the state better when they are plating good.

Even though the newer stadiums are nice and facilities are better I do miss the character of some of the older stadiums.

I am anxious to see who they hire there. The school itself is declining in numbers. Not much industry in Tville anymore so you have seen a good number of people move off from there.
