I agree just looked and Gulfport has 1 playoff win in the last decade. I believe they have finished 1st or 2nd most of those years in district. It will be interesting to see what Gulfport fans and decision makers feel is their expectations. I still think OS is the head of class in that district.

Just curious what does everyone think of Gulfport and Pennock? Is this a step in actually winning playoff games or just maybe taking a step to catch up with OS in district? Thoughts????

I thought the OG defense played very good the second quarter on. Hubbards speed took a little getting used to it seemed to me (he’s a good athlete by the way) but OG adjusted. The offense didn’t try to go down field very much but didn’t have to the way they were able to run the ball. Good win OG

OG will be fine. GCS is a great HS football team and good luck to them after this season, because honestly from what I saw they don't need luck this season. Moving forward past this season, OG will have the pieces and coaching along with the support of the school district and community to continue into the future and continue to be great. GCS's future is a little more uncertain. While I am glad that their players are getting to play this season, with so many seniors and so little numbers returning, will they have a future team at all. I sure hope so for those previous 2020 GCS students. I saw first hand last Friday a school that was very good on the field, but the logistics that go into running a program adequately were lacking significantly. I admit I had no idea that GCS actually even existed as a school until just a few months ago. To me the school rebuilding their team for next season and more importantly rebuilding any relationship with their loyal supporters before the previous football team will be a balancing act that seems difficult from the outside looking in.
