It's not about "chasing a paycheck". It's about a district that is completely leaderless right now, and what is best for HIS FAMILY!!! It is sad to see grownups so caught up on a paycheck. I can promise you this was not a decision that was easy for him or his family. Stop bad mouthing people and being so cruel. You don't realize what goes on behind the scenes. His wife loves those players as her own. There have been HATE messages sent to his SON and WIFE about this. It is so sad! GET OVER IT!!!!! What is best for the players is to talk positivity into the program instead of this negativity. Whoever they get is going to be great, but this district has a lot of administration changes coming. That's how Coach Pennock was able to get so much done in these three seasons.

Archie and Pennock are actually really close friends. He has not talked one bad thing about Archie and never plans to. This is a great program that he is coming in to. I'm guessing you have met Pennock and know his personality to be able to comment on that.

If the parent reaches out to the coach then, he is not in violation. If the child moves to the school district, then he is not in violation. He is not forcing anybody to move or go with him. He is trying to get away from parents like you now. Absolutely ridiculous

This is how rumors get started. Parents called Pennock and asked what they had to do to continue to play for him. Pennock is coaching in the All Star game this weekend, so I highly doubt that he has been calling mothers and fathers constantly. Give the dude a break. He took a job that offered him more money and there is no stability in the leadership of OSSD right now. I bet if the school board had cared enough he would still be there. Also, Green has not taken the job for DC heck the DC job hasn't even been posted. These are only rumors that these coaches are going with him. If a student moves to the Gulfport school district, then this is the only way they can play. MHSAA isn't going to do anything, but keep track of the players and where they are. If they move then there is nothing you can do.

Definitely didn't apply for Brandon or any other Jackson area school. His family is actually from the coast (Moss Point area) and only has Jackson ties from his wife's parents. If Ocean Springs would have even tried to keep him then he would still be the Head Coach. Gulfport sought him out for this job.

Can you explain his aloofness?

Not sure if you know how recruiting works, but JUCO offers do not come in until senior season. Also, how do you know that Pennock has applied for all of the 6a jobs in the Jackson area?
