Ancient bump, but Collins is now the head coach at Pearl River in Louisiana, where we call them “Chalmette North” because they tend to get coaches who have been with us first… you can make a case that he was the greatest head coach in the history of St Bernard Parish for what he did at two different schools… but he was a job-hopper. He left after my senior year, one of the greatest years in school history, for Tupelo after interviewing for Neville the year before. We were lucky to get both of his sons to come through, and his oldest was all-State twice. I liked him, and he raised good kids. EDIT- we found a game against a Louisiana team
