Grenada did not amount to much before Michael Fair took over the program. They won’t amount to much once again now that he is gone. South panola with him at the helm will win at least 1 title in the next 4 years. I do not know what led for him to leave Grenada for South Panola as some had mentioned he may have turned them down before. Or maybe it was them not wanting him at that time. And I saw mention that there may have been a rift between him and the Grenada AD. Also apparently some in SP are happy to see their prior coach leave and are not surprised by what is going on in Grenada.

Not unless they’re forced to.

Alot of single schools in each county.

Probably won't be much left at those places in ten years then.

I think its a problem for all 1A to 4A schools. Those kids in Byhalia and Tunica moving to DeSoto County for jobs, Louisville is rural but does have jobs just not enough to keep kids from moving to Golden Triangle or Rankin/Madison County areas. You keep going to Hattiesburg to play championships those kids see what's in Hattiesburg area. College's are able to recruit some if these kids away from their home towns thru championship games. Basketball wise its outside of Jackson for them to make a new home.
-
I wonder if that is the issue in byhalia, rosa fort and louisville as well.

They have went thru coach after coach. They get the program rolling and they leave for better pay i guess.
-
Yes, graduate high school, go to college get a job in the metro area and establish a home there. Some just move after finding a job in Hattiesburg or Jackson after not going to college. Still others meet that significant other and follow them to the suburbs. You can't blame them until taxes get higher, cost of living goes up and they move back to the country towns of Puckett or Seminary, etc, etc.
-
Is it a quality of life type issue due to lack of jobs in some areas?
-
Based on data annually reported to government from cities, towns, and counties. It's kind of a secret census that the government can give grants, loans, etc for infrastructure as they request. More people you have the better.
-
Look for even larger numbers in the suburbs of Memphis, Tupelo, Oxford, Starkville/Columbus, Meridian, Jackson Metro, Natchez, Hattiesburg/Laurel, and the coast. Smaller numbers in the country side.
-
Their numbers should be doubled. That's probably why their already 4A.

it doesn't really take that much effort put into keeping it in line anymore. You can't even get a rise out of Vott these days. Laurel people ? Gone. I'm pretty tight with Merlin now. What kind of person would have a problem with SoSoDude ? Even Hathorne is having them roll him around in a wheelchair these days playing the disability racket. Like Alexander the great I kneel and weep because there are no more battles to be had. Your wife is probably the strongest person I know. She's showed so many how to keep going forward in the face of everything she's endured . She really was the best decision you ever made son . I really mean that -

When you take a look at the roster; yes Covid helped. Then factor in all the crazy sideline rules they tried to enforce with contact tracking and distancing… yeah

I just wanted to take a moment to say thank you to everyone who’s texted, called dropped a message on here or however. Thank you all for the prayers for my wife and our family. As many of you know she’s fighting cancer for her fourth time. She’s scheduled for surgery Tuesday and will have chemo afterwards when she gets physically able. I have been on here since the beginning and have made many great friends and have meet several people. Have known Slick since our school days and WABO more years than we can count lol. Please all of you that will please keep praying for us this is the toughest fight yet on a tired body. They say she’s looking at 14 days in the hospital after surgery and then three to six months total recovery time from surgery. Again thank you all and Slick told me he would keep everyone straight in my absence so God Bless you All lol.
