Raiders 10 Posted October 30, 2021 Author Share Posted October 30, 2021 I don't see that to be a upset if incase Pontotoc overlook Gentry, Shannon might upset Louisville if they play up to Louisville competition level, Kozy might upset Caledonia keep a eye on Mooreville that team dangerous can put up pts on West Lauderdale it be maybe 1 or 2 upset in 4A North playoff 1st rd also Yazoo City will upset Ripley that a rematch from last year 1st rd playoff Ripley won on a kickoff return at Yazoo city so this a rematch Quote Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...

The only 2 possible upsets that I see in all the 2A,3A and 4A first round games is Calhoun City over Northside and Kozy stands a good chance of knocking off Caledonia. I seriously doubt that Yazoo City will beat ripley although it might be a good game into the 2nd half. Mooreville will get rolled by West Lauderdale. Houston might play with Senatobia for awhile but Senatobia should win and win big. Clarksdale will beat south pontotoc. Louisville will thump Shannon and put them out of their misery. Pontotoc will whack Gentry good. Kozy at Celadonia is by far the most even matchup on paper and I tend to lean toward a Kozy win due to them playing a tougher schedule. The only good team Caledonia played was IAHS and lost 28-14. I guess Kozy beating Caledonia is sort of an upset because it will be a road playoff win but other than that I just do not see any upsets happening in this round. Ripley is much improved and although they don't do a lot on offense, they do what they do well and I doubt YC has a D as good as pontotoc.
