greenandgoldhawk
The playoffs are starting to shape up a little bit. Tupelo Christian, Simmons, West Lowndes, Bay Springs and Taylorsville currently control their own destiny for the top spots in each region. A few teams will have playoff spots clinched within the next two weeks and a few spots will come down to the end of the season. Key Games: Byers at Smithville: Byers got off to a good division start playing weaker opponents. Can they steal a win versus the stronger district opponents to keep a playoff spot? Ethel at West Lowndes: Ethel has a shot to dethrone the region leader and take control of their division. McEvans at South Delta: Essentially the 2nd place game for region 2 and the loser likely 3rd place to finish the division. Mount Olive at Resurrection: Winner keeps the playoffs hopes alive. Loser will have to hope for a miracle to make the playoffs. Richton at Taylorsville: Richton currently control their destiny for the one of the playoff spot. A win would surely help them. Taylorsville is still tied for the top spot with Bay Springs and do not have plans on releasing the top spot. Games: Byers at Smithville Coldwater at West Bolivar Enterprise-Lincoln at Lumberton Ethel at West Lowndes Falkner at Biggersville French Camp at Noxapater Hamilton at Vardaman Leake County at Sebastopol McAdams at Coffeeville McEvans at South Delta Mount Olive at Resurrection Okolona at Ashland Richton at Taylorsville Salem at Bay Springs Simmons at West Tallahatchie Tupelo Christian at Thrasher Edited October 19, 2021 by greenandgoldhawk
Kurt Cobain
I think these next 3 weeks is really going tell if Bay Springs is truly ready to impose their will on 1A South. I'm not over looking Salem but, I think Bay Springs has a field day with them. I actually thought the Mount Olive would be some what of test. But I was wrong about MO . I will say this they are solid team they beat majority of them teams in region 3 by their size and speed and physicality. I think Bay Springs real test will be their old nemesis Taylorsville and possible Lumberton. If even though I think Taylorsville is a good year or 2 away from really challenging Bay Springs . I still worldly l wouldn't count them out let's see how these next 3 weeks unfold for Bay Springs...

Idk but they seem to be pretty solid in region 1 so far.
pancho
I know Biggersville is strong in the north but who else are the contenders?
