ALS is a disease that attacks the nervous system progressively and causes loss of muscle movement. Coach Elmo is battling very hard against this disease and is truly an inspiration to me with his strength and fortitude during this time. Coach Elmo did not have long term health care Insurance and things have become very expensive ($7,000 a month) since he has come to the point where he has to have 24 hour care.
