I know. He picks against Hamilton every week. We finished the regular season 11-0 last year, and he picked against us 9 or 10 times.
-
By “every MS sports writer,” do you mean Brandon Shields? Because he literally picks against us every week. It’s all good, tho. No harm, no foul. Appreciate the good luck wishes. Gonna have to play mistake-free football for sure next week. Definitely can’t dig an early 2-score hole like we did tonight moving forward.!

But they aren’t… and Hamilton was a 1-seed who beat Sebastopol, a 2-seed, and you called it an “upset,” which is inaccurate.
-
Yes, the nondivision schedule was a gauntlet but you said that Sebastopol would be a #1 seed in Hamilton’s region when Hamilton quite literally just beat Sebastopol on the field tonight. That would mean that they’d be a #2 seed in Hamilton’s region. You assassinated your own logic.

Taylorsville is 1A this year, and will be staying 1A next year.

Kyzer Verner from Hamilton has 2,033 rushing yards on 176 carries with 30 TDs. Defensively, he’s made 50 tackles, 7 TFLs, and has 1 forced fumble in limited reps. He’s also just a sophomore, so I guess that might factor in. Definitely a case to be made.

Anybody have an estimated idea of the magic number for 1A/2A, or have I missed it in the 13 pages of comments?
-
Vardaman at Hamilton is definitely gonna be a heck of a game. Potential 3-1A title on the line, it's WCBI's Game of the Week, and there's been some recent bad blood between the two schools in all sports. Gonna be a packed house and a crazy environment.
-
All we can hope for is the opportunity. Congrats on last year’s title, and best wishes the rest of the way.
-
Not to be cliche, but Hamilton is just taking it one game at a time. A 50-point win and a 1-point win both count the same in the W/L column. We’re just really proud of how far they’ve come in the last few years. From doormat to 8-0 is pretty special for these kids and community.

Never said it wouldn't be a close game. Just making the point that history doesn't always matter.

Until this year, Hamilton: Hadn't beaten French Camp since 1995. Hadn't beaten Okolona since 1987. Hadn't beaten Noxapater (on the field) EVER. Your point is kind of moot.
