Do you like the idea of public and private schools playing against each other?

I know some are opposed to it, but it seems baseball is a sport where the private schools can really be competitive with the public schools. Four of the top ten schools in the MaxPreps MS rankings are MAIS schools.

I may be in the minority here but I believe that baseball is the one sport that private schools can hold their own regardless of classification.  They can complete in football but not at the higher classification. When the public schools field teams with 75-100 players depth takes over. I remember a few years ago Bassfield had OG on the ropes in the third quarter. Then the numbers just took over.

The top level private schools in Mississippi can compete with any public school in this state. That being said, their is a MAJOR drop between top tier and second tier private schools.

They all play daddy ball travel teams together throughout the years!

Travel ball is a possibility as to why some teams are so dominate year in and year out. During summer and into fall they may be called the Kokomo Cannons when in reality it is their high school team for the following season.
