Best Team in Mississippi This Year?

I think MRA has to be #1 right now. Simply based on the fact that Holmes County and Raymond both already have early season losses and MRA completely destroyed a solid Clinton Christian team without their full roster. NWR is a team to be on the lookout for too this year. They're solid.

Doesn’t matter for CCA now. They’ve had to forfeit all games because the coach was playing a player that was ineligible. The kid transferred from another MAIS school and did not make a legitimate move. The coach played him anyways. Hate it for the kids because their basketball coach screwed them for the season.

who the hell is Clinton Christian.....

A school with a half decent basketball team. And technically since Clinton Christian beat MRA last week, MRA beat Gulfport and Gulfport is better than any team on the coast save Biloxi, Clinton Christian is better than every team on the Mississippi Gulf Coast besides Biloxi. Sad that they are ineligible. Would have been great competition for MRA in Overall.

And if I’m parents at CCA, I’m calling for that coach to be fired. He knowingly played an ineligible player thinking no one would find out.

I'd think it's MRA and Prep. MRA has Hubbard and the tall forward who can drain from outside. Prep has the Brent kid, and their outside shooting is hot.

Regarding the CCA ordeal; I feel like we have just inconsistency with that transfer rule that exists in the MAIS. Some schools are forced to forfeit every game, while some are able to permit their violating athletes play even if they havent done the move.

So the MSAIS transfer rule requires a transfer from another member school to sit out a year only if they don't move or live closer to said school. MRA athletes such as John White and Quincy Phillips transferring in moved to Madison while enrolling. That's why MRA hasn't gotten bit by the ineligibility bug.
